When I tried Downgrading my ipod, it was stuck on the Recovery mode screen (with the Itunes logo and plugin) and so I downloaded Blackra1n but that keeps on giving me errors. Then I downloaded blackbreeze and that gives me errors like this everytime I hit "Fix my ra1n!"

Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. Of you click Quit, the application will close Immediately.

File not found.

The last time I jailbreak my iPod it resets and everything is gone! All my app even my photos, videos, safari and app store.. Is that normal??

you put it in your computer and when you do everything plug it into ur itunes and go to ur ipod like mine says my name and then ipod then when you look at it it says name: capacity: software version: or if not just look in ur ipod case and read the book that might tell you =P and im just saying but if it's a 16g then it's a 2nd and if it aint then it might be a 3rd gen most likely

I started out with non jailbroken 3.1.1 and downgraded to 3.0, jailbroke it with redsn0w 0.8 and then upgraded to the custom 3.1.1 and it works fine. Thank you very much !

Yeah, and your downloaded apps. But strangely all my app data was still there, so all I had to do was re-download them after jailbreaking and upgrading; they all worked like they had never been deleted.

One thing is for sure though, if you are jailbreaking make SURE you back it up. You can never be too safe.

hey u have to be on jailbroken 3.0 otherwise u will get the 1600 or 1601 error soooo... ya use redsn0w 0.8 to jailbreak 3.0 then update to your custom ispw.. thanks any ways for the firmware!!!!!!

do not put in dfu mode when u restore with custom firmware if u do u get the 1600 error. jailbreak on 3.0 then restore with custom firmware

download a program called quick freedom and put in prejailbreak mode then try to do the restore leve a coment in my channel if it worked

Keep trying.. This will work. Try putting it into DFU mode one more time, then if that fails with a 1600 error message then do a restore when your iPod is normal.

you have to download itunes 8... uninstall itunes 9... restore your ipod to 2.2.1..... update itunes back to 9.... restore your ipod to 3.0 thats it

Didn't work for me either. I was attempting to jb w/ redsn0w last night when I recieved a msg in my e-mail about the new quikpwn jb. I decided to try it and it did nothing for me. I'm hoping all the bugs are out of it soon because I hate having an unjailbroken ipod. Hopefully it works w/ the new iTunes 9 (crossing fingers)

It's works, but you have to be jailbroken on 3.0, and then update with this firmware, otherwise you get errors.

for DFU mode completely shut down your ipod hold power button for 3 sec then hold power and home for 10 seconds after 10 seconds let go of power button and keep holding home button for the next 30 seconds or so and then your ipod is in DFU mode.. however, as mentioned before this will not work so bewtter wait for the next Redsn0w toold should be out in the next couple of days :)
