  • Harpsucker.. I find it really hard to find out anything about Walter's life apart from musical things. He's probably my favourite musician (his recordings taught me, told me how to play) and I'd love to find out more about him. I wonder who he thinks of when he sings of love ("Christine, Sweetest girl I know"). I didn't know he had any family until now. Thankyou. Harpsucker.

  • The awesome thing about this is his (as in Walter Horton ) his daughter comes in my store several times a month and has engaged in conversation and it awesome to hear her talk about him . I have a store in Memphis, Tn and she would love for her father to get the recognition he deserves. She would love to get his story out more than what it is now, she just doesnt know where to turn. Some of his music has been mixed with Little Walter from what she tell us.

  • @Oakley7635 sweet!

  • Wow! Big Walter is even better than I thought. Way to go Walter!

  • it's kinda funny, they're always intentionally or otherwise a bar or two 'off' from one another, then the resolve it only to begin again! love it

  • Thanks for posting this. I used to see Big Walter a bunch on Chicago's South Side

in the early 70's and caught up with Ronnie Earl in Wichita, Ks. in the 80's. Both of them together are pure inspiration.
