  • OH My God.. That was fast.. and what a nice landing:)

  • The engine and te pilot really good!.

  • ehhhhh.....its louder, but is it much faster? alot of gas used up on the ground. good effort and clean....wild controls ailerons and throttle together.

  • though the fuselage would have melted ??

  • Great RC I do not want to know what it cost!

  • 2:55 for launch np :)

  • no fuel tanks onboard?

  • All that money and you can't buy a pair of shorts that fit??? LOL

    Nice video!

  • Sucky, Squeezy, Blowy! LOLOLOL

  • When I win the lottery in a few days, I will do this! lol, awesome.

  • I made something like that in '57 or thereabouts. In balsa, free flight of cause! couldn't afford RC then. The engine was a Jetex went like stink of a few seconds across Croxley Moor. Ah the days of wasted youth: now wasting my old age doing the same, good fun... Like the lump how much for one of those? I think the Jetex was about thirty bob incl fuel and fuse..

  • yeah, there seems to be some thrust, sure bob, just move that over there, push off with that pocket jet blasting back at ya, will be great.

    nice flared landing guys.

you're right, low weight really is the domain of combustion. electric power just wont be there-- they've got to scale to something else.

  • Chuck Norris Throw

  • Bloody Amazing .. Roughly how much would you say the overall cost of that is ?

  • At the beginning i thought the plane flies with the gas tank.

  • Cracky, it flies. . . Cheers Mate!!!

  • Fix the speling error in the title!

  • @bobmac84 Thanks, I hadn't noticed that!

  • @bobmac84 it sems yoo hav a spelin eror in yor coment

  • @bobmac84 fix the spelling* error in your comment! ;)

  • holy snud!!!!!!!!

  • my wife has that same motor on her vibrator

  • The Engine flies with some foam around.

    Nice vid !

  • I am stunned that you got the cg right for it. A bunch of weight up front?

  • all i can say WOW

  • where did you guys buy the mod 1 controller

  • where can i buy just the rc turbine engines itself??? thanks

  • @davonizdashit jetcatusa .co m

  • hey im a rc builder and im having a hard time finding turbine engines. Where can i buy just the turbine engines from??? plz answer back thanks

  • cool

  • super

  • that is nuts to fast for me to fly

  • that is awesome, I wounder how fast it would go w/ 2 of them engines strapped on there :D

  • Is your throttle really on the right side? I guess everything is backwards where you are at?

  • @ShadyatBest Yeah, really old people like me (and the guy in the video) fly Mode 1 where the right-hand stick is throttle/ailerons and the left is rudder elevator.

  • 0:18 slychac strzaly

  • Why has he got a woman's hat on for?????????????

  • That is freaking awesoeme!

  • At 3:18 the camera man farts.!! lol

  • Skip to 2:55 for the actually take-off.

  • Now lets see a glow engine on a foamy, I haven't seen that yet

  • man i want one where can i get it!!!

  • Bloody fantastic ... you're a genius!

  • Liked it allot! I want to put one on my flying man ,rcsuperhero eventually!! COOL

  • Liked it allot! I want to put one ( jet engine )on my flying man -rcsuperhero eventually!! COOL

  • shorts to short!

  • A bit too slow for all that noise.

    4s wins hands down.

    Nice idea all the same

  • @v8kol Yes 4 to 6s wins!! hobbyking provide plenty of pack for the price of that little turbine ! must be fun to try tho ..!!

  • 4 minutes to watch a flameout!

  • I was wondering how it would glide once the powered died, did a great job! Awesome.

  • hey how do you keep it from melting the foam?

  • Great job!

  • Sweet!

  • its not exactly as fast as the electric setups

  • Hi did the guy make the electric start or did it come with the turbine i need onefor my Lambert turbine i still have the old Airstart unit and this unit looks compact and neat compared to the others i have seen.

    please let me know.

  • very cool! its hard enough to keep up with my stock stryker, i cant imagine trying to fly something that fast!!

  • that turbine is hot... did the turbine burn the foam...?

  • Thats the fastest and most expensive flyin coffee cup I have ever seen!!!!

  • still glides well

  • $20 airframe $2000 turbine.... never thought id see a turbine on a foam plane! sweet bird

  • where can you buy the turbine

  • does it use an electric ignition system like they use for gas powered models?

  • OMG

  • Nice video. It would be good to see some detail when the operator starts the plane.

  • nice beaver

  • who was that with the straw hat on, your wife or your mother?

  • Mother of Neptune! a Jet engine on a foamie. Most impressive and what a boasting speed it has. That little bugger is a beast!

  • Brilliant!

    Strykers Rule!

You need to strengthen aileron hinges

for high speed. Stock won't last.

  • i think i can build one of those. i just need to know if i can use butane as a fuel???

  • Holy frack'n shartcakes!

  • how much did that cost? lol

  • those can cost 1000 buck or more!!!!

  • @drag0ns1ayer691 Actually that turbine cost $1499 plus shipping from the UK.

  • Wow two of thoes on a sport scale A 10 would be cool

  • love that plane, too.. : )

  • Oh, i just see i have a negative vote on my first post - is there a envious guy who wishes his jet joe ran as reliable as a kolibri ? :-)))

if you google for " Erstflug Twin Jet mit Kolibri Turbine " you can find a RCMovie link of my maiden flight video of my jolly rogers "F-18 for the poor" :-)

It have been heavy conditions this day and it was my first jet flight ever, but actually after having done a lot of flights it's only 100% fun without any problem !!!

    regards flofix

  • Hi !

On the video it's definitely a lambert kolibri. from the first autostart generation with the single sided starter bracket as it was built from 2005-2007. The newer version (like mine :-) has a double sided bracket. Neither the jet joe junior hardware nor the ecu supports autostart!

The lambert autostart kolibri ran perfectly 3 years befor the chinese dreamed of copying it :-) And even now if you buy one you better buy them via this australian dealer to get it halfway run :-)

    flofix

  • I really want one of these.

  • grand

  • Hi

the inventor of these little jewels is Martin Lambert from Germany .

I have also one autostart type of this masterpieces on a MPX Twinjet and can say that it is absolute as reliable as it's bigger sisters. Only an electric motor is easier to start :-)

OK a lot of money but its worth every cent!

    Perfect handcraftship not china stuff!

e.g. fully inconel comb. chamber and wheel not cheap stainless steel. the housing is lathed of a solid cylinder / tube not a simple steel plate!

    regards Flofix

  • urm, no. they are made by jet joe

  • haha one fast foamy man

  • Hail to Kiwi Inginuity

  • wasted 3 minutes of my life waiting for him to launch the damn thing

  • LOL! SO TRUE

  • and i wasted 2 secons of mine reading your dumb ass whine comment. shut the fuck up and fast forward asshole

  • at 3:19 someone farts LOL

  • 3:18

  • @AXHEJAZ

LOL !! :) 5 stars for the fart!

Wicked plane - what sorta run times you get out of this - I want!

  • @AXHEJAZ Looooool

  • @Ubojica6661 It's actually at 3:15 when somebody Farts! LoooL

  • @AXHEJAZ I know.

  • @AXHEJAZ Haha yeah! Thats awesome!

  • @AXHEJAZ It Was A Fly

  • good turbines are 2000-7000$

  • Totally amazing

  • i want one of these, how much would a gas turbine this size cost me?

  • areyo serious? First you have to know how to fly, second you need around $700

  • 10 times that much $ RedDevil

  • no red devil is right... you are wayyyy off.

  • drunk2, u could buy a shitty chinese peice of trash for that much maybe but i always get the best quality stuff. With the brands i use it would be about $4000 for the turbine.

  • Very cool- Nice camera work Bruce.

  • engine is kolibrie T32?

  • haha great video

  • More Video's Please. I own a pretty quick Brushless One, but this thing's got it licked no problem! Let's see it flat out, straight and level!!!

    Cheers Guys.

  • F&%$#@ awesome!!

  • more! more! more!

  • You should put that on Banana Hobbys new F-4 Tiger meet. Man, that's a whole new world to turbines. Just imagine how fast you could go with just plane foam. Nice work.

  • what turbine is it and where can i get 1?

    cheers

    matty

  • Hehe, typical kiwi!

  • love it ! ... but i bet u that motor is just as expensive as a the standard size..... i dont love that !

  • awesome...how i wish the turbine to be a little cheaper.

  • Wicked awesome Stryker guys! I'm sure that took some severe kit bashing to strengthen the foam to that extent. Was this glassed at all?

  • haha nice work. That thing had some jiuce, i just love the verticals straight off a take-off.

  • Way to go boys!

  • that's just fricking wrong.lol LOVE IT!!!

  • looks powerfull.

  • what kind of turbine is this?

  • Awesome

  • ha ha ive seen it all now! a turbine on a foamy.

    good stuff .

how about a speed run ?

    very cool!

  • soooooo cool where do you buy that motor...!!!

  • So whats the flight time and how much fuel does it hold?

  • i cant remember the name of the turbine but isnt it made in france ?

  • OH SHIT BRO THAT HEAPS COOL AY!

  • Outstanding!!!

  • jesus mother of christ! that was great

  • Comment removed

  • Whew. That thing moves! Very cool. But what is that little electric motor in front of the turbine for? A starter of some kind?

  • Yes, it is a little starter motor.

  • OMG. You guys!! Your funny with a touch of insanity!! Keep up the good work!!

P.S. I'd be interested to know how long the airframe lasts before you have to replace it??

  • Umm... i think he didnt replace the stock hinges, so im sure it willl not be too long unless he does something about it;) I saw when the guy took off his hat before the launch that he has re-inforced it with carbon, but if i did this i would re-inforce, fibreglass the whole thing and replace the hinges, then it would last a long time..

  • im well impressed, im just getting to yours now dave powers

  • Wow awesome job! A Turbine on a foamy! These crazy loons are so good!

  • Big thumbs up here from west oz guys. Bloody impressed!!

  • thats a tiny little turbine, where did you get it?

    whats the price tag?

  • Do a Google for Lambert turbine

  • Oh, loads of those people have been using those little Kolibri's in twinjets, funjets etc, but i have not yet seen a stryker... until now!

  • what flies better, the stryker or the twinjet?

  • I really dont know, i have flow neither, but if you are willing to pay more, then get the twinjet and convert it to brushless. If you want to go cheaper, and not have the performance of the twinjet, get the stryker. It flies OK stock, but its best to get the brishless one, or, of course, stick a turbine in it;)

    Sheldon

  • jetcat has a nice small turbine, produces 5 1/4 lbs of thrust?
