As The two top comments said above me ^ I know a few, Damh the Bard for namesake, and a fair few others, there protecting and protesting something that they believe is a desecration of a sacred area. You wouldn't see someone drawing a mustache on buddha's statue in Thailand or Vietnam or you wouldnt see the cross with decorations and curtains around it. Its complete disrespect specialy after T&S where poletly asked to step down and the abuse the druids where subject to at the end.
Was meint Ihr, wird länger besteht? Einerseits unterstütze ich den Widerstand meiner Schwestern und Brüder.
This is horrible. I can't believe they allowed them to do this. If I went to a church to make a visage of a naked man in a Christian church the priest would shit bricks.
And to JehovahsWitness1:

Well I learned something about fashion today. Lol, I don't see what is so bad about what they are doing to the Sussex man. Paganism is all about seeing things in a new and different way. Afterall, they were kinda doing the 'Dove soap' thing, this should be promoted! I wish they showed this in Canada, Englands daughter/son!
I didn't know that the soil was eroding - again they didn't show it here, and I don't live in England.
Because of that I can see why it would be bad, but on the other hand if you look at all of those skinny models and perfect advertising models (the ones they fix up etc) and say 'look like this', in that sense that is empowering to women by saying that all shapes are beautiful.
look at goddesses like us pagan women do, like the Venus of Willendorf,Gaia or Kali
We admire these forms of the women because are alike women...
Men in the pagan common admire these forms of women because they are real women...
the media will never change how it looks on women and all we can do ifs love ourselves and we know fair and well that it can not be possible to look like what the media teaches us.
Sorry to attack, I don't live in England ether but I support the respect for the druids there who do they're best to protect the remains of are history
as they try so hard and of course let people look but do not touch....they are old ruins and people should respect that as I know millions of other ruins should be treated with respect around the world...
some of u guys are missing the point here. I know some of these Druids personally too. The major issue they had was the desecration of a heritage landsite that is suffering from soil erosion and not siupposed to be stepped all over.
i thought part of paganism is not caring what people think about your physical form. because the physical form is separate from the soul, and is also temporary.
well not really. what i mean is, you could think sex is considered a bodily desire or need, and not a need of the soul, and therefore should not have much though put into how that affects the after-life and morality and all that. there are some religions that think that sex is a need of the soul, and is also a diabolic temptation (like in the book of genesis) and therefore affects where you go after death.
Dude. It's all about respect and consideration. You've seen the damage that was done to it, and they did it with little to no respect for the people who used to the long man as a focus of reverence.
I could be very much wrong in this but o well. If it was such a man wouldnt it include a penis between the the images legs. We see that we def. see in history that if something male its very much physiclay male. And yet this imade on the side of the mount. that it isnt.
what ever happened to trinny and susannah, their careers went down the pan, Now that's magic.

This reminds me of the time I saw a retarded video on YouTube and regretted watching it.

it is a scared ground that is very delicate because the soil is suffering from erosion, they poked sticks into the ground and even damaged the dirt

I think in all religons your supposed to not care, and its all temporary, so... whats your point?
