im just trying to findout is it save to park a motorcycle in store parking lots? i mean is any1 gonna put it in neutral and take off with your bike? O.o
@WoWAdvertisement My bike has a lock on it where if I turn the key all they way to the left it will lock the front forks to the left so a person can't roll it in a straight line. I also always leave my bike in gear when I turn it off so it won't roll anywase, but there is still the chance of a couple of people being able to lift the bike up and place in in another vehicle and drive away.
Catalytic converters emit acidic vapours that are themselves extremely harmful to humans. That said, those converters currently availiable do break down most particle exhaust which is the most immediate nuisance. Motorcycles are not traffic stuck and burn less fuel idling or finding parking spaces- so with or without converters- they still come out ahead. It is financial freedom and independence which threatens social engineering- not pollution levels.
I would argue that you didn't have to get on the sidewalk that soon. 3:20 - Kid was forced to walk on the grass...
2:40 - You're either burning your clutch or the bike is woefully underpowered for your weight. It would drive me nuts to have to rev that high just to keep up with a sedan in a parking lot.
Of course, this is coming from someone who's only bike-curious ;-) so please tell me if I'm wrong.
Yeah the kid on the sidewalk scared me. That was a really busy day and wasn't really thinking some kid was gonna come flying around the corner, but it wouldn't be a problem if the school put a entrance ramp a little closer to where we actually partk. As for the high revs...I don't think I'm burning my clutch, it's the way the ninja 250's 1st gear is setup, and yes it is annoying to have to shift to second gear even when making a corner from a stop.
@OpCzar That's a Kawasaki Ninja 250 he's not burning the clutch. They redline at 14000 RPMs. You only start to get into the powerband at 5 or 6000. On the freeway at 70 MPH you'll be up near 9500 or 10000 RPMs. You generally maintain 60-80 MPG for the best fuel economy on the road. I had one for several years and loved it.
Love it

Motorcycle riders would be given
tax breaks for not taking up space and polluting. You can ride these machines in snow and rain with the write tires and clothing.

actually motorcycles pollute more because they have shitty catalysts.

@radbie Yeah it's just how first on ninja250s sounds. Pretty sure it's got a funny power band compared to other gears.

@OpCzar Notice how the kid ran ONTO the grass willingly, wouldnt of changed if he had parked next to the sidewalk eh?

@OpCzar Most bikes have a wet clutch. You're supposed to ride it in first.
