  • Hey Dell I just got into paramotoring i have a motor already that runs great, however my wing is a DHV 3 glider made by Trekking its an 03 model. It's is near impossible to launch in little to no wind if i do a forward launch then it always goes off to one side and falls, and i cant run back wards fast enough to get it up with no wind. Any suggestions?

  • @parmstrong32x Well having the right paramotor is the #1 most important thing to your safety so at least having the Flat Top paramotor gives you a big advantage. Next switching to a glider like the K2 will make a world of difference in how easy to launch, how much fun it is to fly and the safety you have. The K2 has a ridiculous level of performance and safety. It is absolutely incredible. Then of course getting SUPER training makes a huge difference. Call me if you like at 800-707-2525

  • waaw.

can i do thes too ??!!

    no no.it was dangereus !!!

    good luck maan.you'r the best

  • What blackhawk motor and cage was this poor dummy using?

  • I'm just wondering if the K2 (and similar new safe paragliders ) is good for free flight if it's so good and safe for powered flight? Or would one need a separate glider for free flight and one for powered flight?

  • @cromrke There is no real difference between powered or unpowered. A glider is a glider so yes any glider can be used with or without power no problem at all. The K2 is exceptionally good because it is the most efficent certified glider we've tested so if you fly it without power it allows you to do things you simply can't do on other gliders. Sooo dang fun!!!

  • @imasuper0308 Dell, can you free fly, paramotor and paramotor tandem on the same size K2 or is tandem pushing it?

  • @lmankj Yes it just depends on skill level. We've done all of what you say and all on the small K2. A K2 is so ridiculously strong and builds soooo much lift that even tandem is no problem in the right conditions. Look at the video of 230 lb SUPERSHANE taking a 304 lb passenger tandem on the 28sm K2. It's obviously not optimal to do tandem on a smaller glider but it certainly isn't a problem if you have a K2.

  • @imasuper0308 Good to know, thanks Dell!

  • U-Turn PWNS All :D

  • Hey i love your videos! Is this the same glider as SKY CIMA, which is sold in Europe? How is this glider compared to other ultralites?

  • @dahlolsen No the K2 is the new version of the Cima. It completely blows away not only mountain gliders but everything else for that matter. I sell over 200 different makes & models of gliders and the only gliders I have that will out perform it are totally uncertified competition gliders. Nothing is even close to it's safety. That is the biggest advancement I've ever seen in the sport. Definitely get one if you can. Freaking awesome!!!

  • lets put the APCO force up against this and see the results

  • @pintail120 The Apco Force is a totally uncertifed death trap. It doesn't make sense to compare completely uncertified gliders to the safest glider on the market. A better comparison would be the Force vs Eris III RS. Then it is uncertified vs uncertified. The Eris III RS should smoke it as the Eris III RS will cruise at 45 mph and has a 10:1 glide ratio. It would be interesting to do a side by side though.

  • I like the power unit, seems to give a pretty good climb rate! What engine is that?

  • That is the Flat Top 200 SUPER. It is a souped up Simonini motor made custom at the Simonini factory in Italy. Very sweet unit. It is even stamped with an S next to the serial number after SUPERDELL the wild pilot they made them for.

  • Dell I've been waiting for you to update your website with the Alpine Peak . Its been awhile since the AP came out. Are you no longer gung ho about it?

  • The AP is awesome but the K2 is the new best so that is what I'm recommending currently. I make life easy for you, I just tell ya the dang truth about what the cool stuff is reguardless of brand. Just call me whenever you are looking for something and I'll give you the straight up. Dell 800-707-2525

  • I think the pilot has a lot to do with this. swap pilots and try again..

  • Yes skill can make a difference as stated but what you can see clearly is just the equipment difference. The cheaper stuff is double the weight and half the performance of the high end K2. It simply doesn't come up anywhere near as easy and doesn't provide the extreme lift at the lower speed of the K2. Just try one and any question you have about the difference will be gone forever. It isn't even a close comparison. This new technology K2 is off the charts awesome.

  • what u think about the sd. i plan to buy one from erick dufour, somebody say something

  • The SD is a complete antique. Totally out of date. No protection for your hands or body parts from the prop, no crumple zone below you, no control of the glider because of the 20 year old style hang points. Give me a call anytime and I'll be happy to tell you all the numerous differences. Dell 800-707-2525

  • Super, you equipment is no match for the cheap stuff, but would have liked to see you trying it too or the other guy try your better equipment.

    Michel, Quebec,Canada

  • How about putting a comparison of a novice that has trouble with other gliders up? I would love to see you do a Geico like commercial..."So easy a caveman can do it." or in your case Jim, lol.

  • That's actually a really good idea. Perhaps my 15 year old daughter would make a good subject.

  • Lol, Would love to see that but please don't put your daughter in jeopardy for the sake of my comment!

but it would be a cool video as I know you would pull that off spectacularly! I can see it now..."Look, So easy a 15 year old girl can do it!" Only you could make that video happen!

  • Wouldn't be any risk as she would just be kiting on the ground. Now I just have to get myself a K2. I keep selling mine lol.

  • I have owned just about every paramotor, and yes the FlatTop is a better paramotor,Its true in this case, you get what you pay for. The FlatTop is the best paramotor period.

  • Put the old big guy on a flat top and then we could make a better diagnosis. You say you have used flat tops?

  • Actually that is a great idea. I'll have to put Jim on the Flat Top with the K2 and show the difference. I know it makes a world of difference so it would be very interesting to see on video. Jim is really cool and puts plenty of effort into it. He just needs a bit more help from the equipment. Yes I have Flat Tops both new and used in stock ready to go. Just call me at 800-707-2525

  • Nice job on making a great guy look like a tool. One blown forward because of a narrow road. Rolling the clip over and over again like a comedy.

That's my friend Jim and he is a good pilot and a good man...that needs to be said.

As far as you and your company...Maybe it's a good product, but you have no honor or class sir. Looking you in the eye and thats what I think.

    Shawn Cordon

  • Yes Jim is an awesome guy. Super nice and down to earth. Couldn't be a nicer guy to fly with. This has nothing to do with Jim. It is merely a comparison of equipment. Jim tried over and over and over and over to get the paratoys off the ground. It wasn't just one attempt. This isn't Jim's fault and I'm not in any way trying to put Jim down. I've deleted all the comments that were derogatory about him. Change the glider to half the weight and I'm positive he would be off first try.

  • What is your deal about honor and class? Take a look at your own video of you trying to get your motor started. Is that your fault? No. Jim was also having problems with the paratoys motor as it just wouldn't run properly. The cheap stuff is the cheap stuff. That is just the way it goes. Jim is super cool and I've had fun flying with him every time he comes down. I just want people to see the reality of the cheap stuff vs the good stuff. I don't mind selling low cost, just tell the truth.

  • Dell, you are amazing! Like a previous commenter, I bet you could have flown the "cheap" stuff without issue.

  • Yes I likely could have launched the cheap stuff in those conditions but it is soooo dang hard it just isn't much fun. I know not everyone can afford the latest and greatest so I sell the cheaper stuff as well but dang the best is worth the extra money. That K2 I'm flying weighs half what the genaric one does and puts off twice the lift. It makes life soooo easy. Launching in no wind is actually fun with the K2.

  • Awesome wing! Can't wait to try the small. I like the comparison haha. Even though you are an expert and the paratoys guy may not be, you can still tell the difference in product quality.

  • That K 2 is very impressive. So's the motor but I'm already familiar with that. Did feel sorry for the other guy

  • Hey ya know you can only afford what you can afford. Not everyone can pony up for the cool stuff. No worries though. Of course I also have used Flat Tops in stock so if someone is on a budget I can often get them the seriously cool stuff and stay in their budget. 800-707-2525

  • I bought a Flat Top 200 & trike several months ago and I love it! Great stuff. I've had two other brand motors before and they don't come close in performance, safety & ease of use.

  • Wow Amazing

  • Very cleaver. No hands in those conditions, that new glider looks amazingly stable.

  • Awesome m8, the cheapo one wasnt any ware as good as the expensive

  • Funny but, Dell- I bet you could have done better on the cheap stuff for a more fair comparison ...

Pretty gusty day, too. Impressive flying as always.
