For anyone wondering about the 8 psi bit, if you look at the gauge it was reading in bar. 1 bar being around 14.5 psi, 8 bar would be 116 psi, burst pressure of nearly 300 psi.
lol really 8psi? mine is much more, for better and faster driving, 8psi its like empty XD and hard to drive fast, LOl hoover bike means bankrup to this company XD
@monkeyboy27476 lol not trying to flame here but Continental is one of the best tire manufacturers in the world especially in the cycling industry (Tufo owns in the cycling industry though)
The destructive test gauge reads neally 20 BAR that 290 PSI (pounds per square inch) NOT 8 psi as the narrator says,my bike tyres are normally run at 35 psi. rec.
awesome video, but the numbers are off ... at the end, the narrator says the tire explodes at 20 PSI. this isnt right. the gauge pictured on the machine reads in bars. 1 bar is about 14.5 PSI. So when the tire exploded, it was actually at 290 PSI.
handmade? no ISO certification I guess!
MAXXIS are better

I'm glad they didn't show some crap tire being manufactured. The Conti Explorer Supersonic (shown) happens to be a highly rated MTB tire.
A correction on the 'Did You Know?' bit: Fred Rompelberg was drafting behind the dragster when he set his 269 km/h speed record.

This is a lot of hand work require to build a $40 tire. I've ridden Conti tires and they are great.

Fucking dumbasses. Kevlar isn't "bullet proof", it CAN be bullet resistant if you have enough layers.

It was pretty annoying how he kept saying the tires are bulletproof. Dang, shut up already. They aren't. Get over it.
