Rats aren't animals that swim. Naturally they know how to splash around when in water, so not do drown, but otherwise, they do not go into water by choice. I can't ever imagine one would enjoy being placed onto a floating board. I have the impression that they have learned that clinging on for safety will eventually earn them their land, so they stay put. How is that amusing, you degenerate society?

@SweetlySourPlum that's a false statement, rat's do not love swimming, you can introduce them to water and they might learn to enjoy it, but this is still cruel. Putting rats; against their will; out in the water where they could be swept under by the waves and drowned. I don't see any pictures of the rats swimming on their own out there, hmmm wonder why that is.

@gewgawgirl you've never tried to bathe a rat before have you? rats usually love water but some pet rats don't like baths (i've had some who didn't) and believe me if they did not enjoy this they would not stay on the board long enough for it to catch a wave, they'd be back up to their owner's shoulder...or even top of the head, IMMEDIATELY. they're fast and very hard to hang onto if they don't like something. they're only hopping off in this video when the ride's over, not bolting at the start

@gewgawgirl Not being rude, but rats are really intelligent animals, close to dogs, its good to teach them tricks, gives them stimulation. The rat jumping doesn't mean it's scared, they are just quite scatty animals. You can see it's ok once it's jumped, it run off to find a corner if it was scared.

Heh heh heh, cute. ^^ I think they were rats, not mice. My rat hated to get bathed, but when I placed him on a floatation device, he'd go to sleep on it, just bobbing up and down in the water. ^^ I think that some rats like to surf. There are surfing cats after all! XD
