There are lots of charities out there to help the people of Haiti... I hope many people choose to help out those in need! I donate to Food for the Poor, which is great because not only can you buy them food, but you can buy them livestock, fishing supplies, boats, etc etc to help them make their own living. Most people don't LIKE to be on welfare, contrary to popular belief.. but if my infant was starving (to death.. not just merely hungry), I would happily take a bowl of rice as well!!!

And you failed to mention that the Haitian economic system is different from the American tax-debt slave system. In other words, there's no such thing as debt in Haiti. Haitians have no mortgage. Property tax is about 50 bucks average a year. If you build a house, it's yours and not the government's.

Well, in this situation for Haiti I think anything is better than the current condition. Did you know that some Haitians are eating mud cookie? Yeah, that's how bad it gets over there. So if they want some support, then I would say fix their own government or have someone else do it for them. Obviously they don't have one.

There are lots of charities out there to help the people of Haiti... I hope many people choose to help out those in need! I donate to Food for the Poor, which is great because not only can you buy them food, but you can buy them livestock, fishing supplies, boats, etc etc to help them make their own living. Most people don't LIKE to be on welfare, contrary to popular belief.. but if my infant was starving (to death.. not just merely hungry), I would happily take a bowl of rice as well!!!

We have been farming since 1804. The U.S and other countries ar responsible for this, they spent years dumping all their goods in our country cheaper than the local price, therefore putting the local agricultural sector out of business and we are now totally dependent on them.
