  • I remember in the early sixties when my this song would play while my brother got ready to go out and fuck women, i wanted to go with him so bad but i was just a kid. he later went to 'NAM and sadly he passed away in about 1990. I will miss my dear brother.

  • OHHHH YEAH!!!!!!

  • Kick ass!!!!

  • WHAT ALL RATS ARE LIARS!

  • I really like this track. Something special. My hobby is to rediscover all those great bands from the 60s that didn´t "broke through". It´s a fantastic musical treasure. Listen for example to Music Machine and the track "Talk, talk" and of course THE ZETTLERS. Check up their versions of "Skinnie Minnie" and "Beautiful Delilah". Really, really good with a bloody driving beat.

  • Lock,Stock the fucking lot

  • I remember i was in the eighth grade when this song came out. I played my 45rpm copy of this so much I wore the grooves out. Needless to say my parents weren't happy to constantly hear this song, but I loved it. Still do.

My parents used to play all the oldies music from when they were kids and every time I here this song it reminds me of how my best friend and I in highschool used to have sleepovers and listen to oldies music including this song it was so fun. They just don't make music the way they used to anymore.

This record playing in the background. then a few months later he was in the Marines and after that Vietnam. Wow! how the time has flown bye. My dear brother passed away in 1992 and I hear this and me and all my brothers miss him so much. When dad was at work he was the boss.

  • The Castaways were an American garage rock band from the Twin Cities in Minnesota. Their first and only hit single, "Liar Liar",

  • Hauntingly COOL - a giant bat wing over this sick society we call America!

  • awesome song + its in lock, and the theme is used for a dutch song; Dom, Lomp en Famous..

  • The chicks vocal in this is money. and yes the song was well used in Lock Stock. What a nice hook and classic song here though. But too short!!, I want more.

  • OUOFIT:)WINK WINK

  • Hi,

In 2005, The Castaways performed the song, with original singer,Bob Folschow, live,(which is available on You Tube) plus, Debbie Harry recorded the song in 1988, and, both performances clearly reveal that the words are "Best believe it", not " Ask me baby". On top of this, if you listen to the original tune, the words that people say is "baby" has the long "e" sound in it, not the long "a" sound.

  • i love this song. i listen to it over and over.

  • The words sung after the intro, " Ask me baby" are not correct. They are "Best believe it"

  • Thanks for the post, but after I looked in many different websites, I can't find your version, which also would fit.

Nevertheless I thank you for paying that much attention!

    Kind regards

  • It's "ask me,Baby" how did you get "Best believe it".

  • great song!

  • I'm glad you like it! Thanks

  • Lag or not it's a great song, thanks for posting!

  • Thanks for your comment!

  • Well i just think that the problem is that the bit rate has to be under a certain line in the "Windows Movie Maker", but anyway: I thank you very much for your posts and help! :)

  • Great innovative song from 1965.

Some music historians say one the best years ever for music was indeed 1965, when singers had to sing & actually had to play instruments.

I can hear the Liar Liar influence in the song Tainted Love by Soft Cell from 1982.

    Thanks for the words!

  • I like it that you have the same idea like me, that in the past they really sing without influence their voices with the computer and that they really play the instruments on their own! Love it.

  • Yes I use Vista.

I guess it's the byte rate per second. After a certain point of bytes per second are trespassed, the music starts to lag in the video.

But thank you very, very much for your answer!

    I appreciate that!

  • i can't tell you a better movie maker, unless your willing to waste a shitload of money on a mac, which are worthess pieces of shit, just like their electronics...srry.

  • I don't know if you are right about the lyric in the first half of the song. You have:

"Come kill me honey, see how I cry" which doesn't make much sense. I have always thought it was:

"come to me honey, see how I cry"

    Just my two cents.

    - Cal

  • Well now I think that your understanding is correcter than mine. Thank you very much for the correction!

    Kind regards

  • greatness

  • You say it, dude!

  • this songs plays during the poker playing scene in "lock, stock, and two smoking barrels" and it basically makes the scene along with the camera work

  • You're so right the camera work is in my eyes one of the best ever.

For example the way they throw their cards on the table.

I totally agree with you! :)

    Thanks for your comment!

    Kind regards!

  • I've been searching for the song for a so long time, finally I've found it,thanks so much

have you seen Lock,Stock and two smoking barrels?I have and it's awesome

  • Yes, it's such a great film! A genius work.

Do you know "Snatch - Breakin' Bones and Stealin' Bones"? Another great movie by Guy Ritchie, also with Jason Statham and Vinnie Jones, who had a role in "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels", too.

I've uploaded two songs from that OST in Youtube, if you want to have a look.

Thank you for the comment, I am happy to meet a further person who know that film, too!

    Kind regards

    Rakazar

  • I love this so much - thanks for putting the lyrics on!

  • Hello missydurham!

I am glad that you are glad! :D

Just a pity that the sound is a bit lagging, you could enjoy it more without it.

Thank you very much for your comment!

Any other songs you could recommend for subtitling?

    Greetings

    Rakazar

  • Thanks Rakazar - I will have a think and let you know if I come up with another.

    Thanks again:-)
