Carrier capable argument doesn't matter for the RAAF, RAAF SHornets will never see a carrier

the range is a reason but Typhoon can easily be modified to feature conformal fuel tanks which would give them noticeably greater range than a SHornet, the reason for SHornet choice boils down to SHornets strike capabilties, Typhoon is primarily a CAS/AD aircraft with limited strike as opposed to Strike/AD with limited CAS capabilities and the aircraft is to replace the F111s which are strike aircraft

i think ur talking about the mrca competition. basically if the IAF chooses the f-18 or f-16, they will have the option of buying the f-35 in the future. but in my opinion, i think the f-22 is better than the 35 in terms of pure technology.

I think it would be a HUGE mistake for anyone to mess with Russia. I am American and even I know that it although I believe the Americans would win the war, we would lose many many battles. In a way it would be pointless because there'd be nothing left after. My wife is Russian and I love everything about that country ( the culture, the people) I would hate to go to war against them. LCA is low cost fighter, with very low radar signature, which makes it almost stealth since it is made from composite material.. In future we would see some more tech invention from India on LCA, which will make it stealth and network centric figther... If the problem with kaveri engines are solved may be we would see kaveri-II with supercruise capabilites for LCA and MCA.. but for that DRDO has to go for JVs with Russia or some other country...
