Autologous stem cell transplantation is a procedure by which blood-forming stem cells are removed, and later injected back into the patient. All stem cells are taken from the patient themselves and cultured for later injection. could there be long term effects from destroying the cell nucleus using radiation? would it possibly increase the chances for cancer or other deformities?

@hlkolaya yes useing radiation can put a person at cancer risk. it is based on something as small at atoms. in the nucleaus we have protons and neutrons. and is even on proton is changed say it was oxygen with 8 protons then it will be changed to become Nitrogen with 7 protons. it is very defective. that is how we get skin cancer from the sun radiation.
