What kind of linear actuator and controller are you using? I'm looking into a similar configuration for another project but almost all of the high speed linear actuators I come across have very limited motion control capabilities.
I don't have a blog. This was a project with a friend of mine at the university, so I have a full documentation, but in German, but I think this wouldn't help you...
