Vocals drowned out a bit, and the drumming is less consistent than on the album. Other than that, a good version. And if they put on more theatrical clothes it would look corny in broad daylight - some trappings are better left to concerts in a dark locale complete with lighting rig.

I love Bal Sagoth, but at this Wacken show none of the epic atmosphere of the albums really came across, not just vocals. I read that Byron didnt have his delay/echo machine at Wackem and it sounds like the desk didnt put any effects on either. Same for synths. But how cool would it be for them to play with a real live orchestra though? :) THE RAVENS ARE ON THE WING!

My only complaint is not because of their clothes, or their overall inactivity on stage. I don't give a fuck about that. The only problem is the vocals. They don't sound so epic and powerful live, and it kind of ruins the atmosphere. Other than that, they are pretty good on stage. Good video.

I don't care what they dress like, although yes the whole band do look like a group of roadies rather than a real band, no my main concern is the live sound. I love Bal Sagoth on album, but live the sound cant compare. The keyboards which are good on CD just sound weak on stage, like a bag of cats being tortured. Bal Sagoth have some great songs, but their live sound here just makes everything sound flat and uninteresting. I don't think their epic grandiose music is really suited to stages.

The guys in Bal-Sagoth are some of the greatest song writers in the history of metal, and them performing live is only a testament to this. The last thing a real metal fan is concerned with is a stage act, it's about the music dipshits. My complaint is whoever took this video is a fucking moron: Show the fucking instruments, especially the guitarist, as he's one of the most amazing and creative rhythm players out there.
