It would have been amazing to see Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, etc. perform at Woodstock... Truly a defining moment in rock and roll. Thank you, Sir, for posting. :)
Sounds like it ought to be on your next album of favorites :). This magical, mystical experience will never be forgotten and I for one, thank you for sharing it. Peace.
Danielle and Donna love the raw energy and sound quality you got in this shot out in nature. Your ow range sound so rich in this mini concert. Could you hear us harmonizing? Thanks for sharing :-)
This is for stmonkeys. Bethel Woods WAS built on the location of the original Woodstock. They left the field intact as it was in "69. The museum and performing arts center are nearby on adjacent property. No, that is not the thruway in the background. It is West Shore Rd. The field and monument are at the corner of Hurd and West Shore Rd. - exactly where Woodstock was. It IS very serene and secluded. It is a very magical, spiritual, and moving experience to be there.
@smcmillan242 thanks for the info! in a way, i'm glad they left the field the way it was. putting concrete and seating on it would have diminished the spirit of woodstock. one day, i'll make it there. maybe when i move back to the east coast (whenever that may be.) while we are on the subject of woodstock, where was woodstock 94 held. i'm pretty sure the 3rd one was in saugerties.
BRAVO!!!!!!! t, thanks so much for posting it. since moving from NY, i doubt i'll have an opportunity to visit the site. i thought that "bethel woods" was built on the location of the original woodstock, guess i was mistaken. is that the NY thruway in the background? i thought the site was more secluded. beautiful, heartfelt performance. i always thought the line was "we are caught in the devil's bargain," but i had a feeling that was wrong. take care! hope to see you in thackerville OK.
♥ Joni Mitchell herself couldn't have prouder to hear "Woodstock" being done by you, Tommy! I totally get why you were freaking out a bit... to do this song "right there"! Incredibly overwhelming piece of nostalgia going on....and it's awesome to see you performing this! You did fabulous! And btw...to add to the deja vue... my name is Joni too! Smiling Joni..as I love to see folks smile! Thanks for making me smile today, Tommy! :-) Enjoy your tour, and please keep posting on the road!♥

What is the name of the song?
janorban64 7 months ago
@janorban64 The song is called, "Woodstock." Joni Mitchell wrote it; Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young had a hit with it in 1969.

You are so awesome! Seriously, when it comes to live, no electronics, there are few if any artists who can even come anywhere near your talent
