Light bulbs are no longer the only bulb that gives off soft white. CFLs and LEDs do too. I know someone who works at a home improvement store they say 60 watt CFLs out sell Light Bulbs. CFLs= 45 per week annual sales. Light Bulbs=20per week. So you are wrong. Everyone I know has filled their homes with CFLs get over it, light bulbs are a thing of the past. You lie when you claim everyone is stocking up on them.
CFL light is superior . You can choose from what color index you want. The warm soft white is just like the old bulb with the yellowish color, and the bright white and daylight are good in garages or laundry rooms. I hope the police in the UK find your stash of old bulbs and take them out of your possession. These are nasty bulbs that waste energy and put strain on the energy company.

I did collect some incandescent light bulbs at my home because I am afraid Government will remove all incandescent light bulbs by 2012 or soon? I don't like government control to ban incandescent light bulbs. I don' t like CFL and LCD TV because CFL and LCD TV gave me headaches . I don't feel normal person if CFL there.

He doesn't like compact fluorescent lamps so he is stocking up for when the lamps are phased out. Which will be completed in the UK by 2011. In the US with multiple exceptions the phase out will occur during the frame from 2012 to 2014.

They are great! -Use the lower wattage filament for pleasant room lighting.
Higher wattage filament for reading or working or cleaning, etc.
You have too many 25 watt light bulbs.
What good are they?
Even if you add them together, they are still too dim and use a lot of electricity.
I get many free - people are replacing their light bulbs with CFLs
Our bulbs add heat which is nice in winter. Electric heat is 100% efficient.

One 25w GLS can last for about 2 years with intermittent use so my guess is if you use those wisely they will last a lifetime..:).
