  • @ratsout09 you seriously know nothing about atkins do you, atkins is a no-low carb diet, so you can have ranch dressing for it's very low carb count and it will help you lose weight, it is working wonders for me, I have these about once a week and I have been losing weight with great ease

  • Ive taken this recipe And Changed it Keep the mozzarella sticks Ive tried all types from the blocks to the sticks, And over all the sticks are the best. Instead of pork rinds, You can take average white sandwich bred ,and blend it in a blinder or food processor till its in little pieces. Coat the stick with flower than coat with egg than bead, than back in the egg and one more time in the breeding. Once you have them all coated you can roll the stick in salt pepper and garlic salt and fry.

  • oil will only clog your arteries unless you leave the food in to long b/c the food absorbs all the food if it's sitting in the oil too long. two, pork rinds are a dried out version of pork fat. it is not going to hurt you to havefried food. it you oil smell s and burns you cooked your food too long.

  • @Greshflan It's still an excellent idea considering how little moisture there is in them when they're prepared like that. That being said, you won't catch me using that method. I don't eat pork anymore..which is difficult..all the good pizza toppings are made out of it. :\

    I personally make my own bread crumbs with a food processor. There's too much moisture in them to be a crunchy breading as they are, so next time I'm going to try toasting the bread first.

  • When my boyfriend suggested we try this recipe, I was skeptical. Turns out, my fears were fully realized when I sunk my teeth into the saltiest, most disgusting attempt at a "mozzarella stick" I've ever encountered.

    Worst recipe ever. Way too salty, and the pork rinds give a terrible flavor. On the plus side, they looked fine and had a crunch to them. I couldn't even finish the bite I committed to. My boyfriend struggled through two.

  • Use a pot of oil heat it up on the stove on medium high, remember if it smokes turn it down. You can use a blender or just mash em up with your hands :)

  • tried this the other day...make sure you do it as she says, meaning use real eggs and not those egg whites you can buy in a carton. they are really good.
