  • HOT!

  • "Get off your horse and drink your milk" as John Wayne would say! Alan the original milk and cookies cowboy..still riding high!

  • @vivicola Ive never heard of them till yesterday(i was on a mission to find who orriganlly sang I Love Rock N Roll) and they popped up:)

  • @aliciabrooke1000 They were a very cool very mismanaged band.

  • Ther're cute

  • @aliciabrooke1000 Yeah, nice boys when they were asleep. They had quite a reputation in London. The band went through women like lawnmowers and their drinking and chem ingestion is legendary.

  • Mickey had his idea about "image" and market demographics. These guys were superb musicians. But they had to play to the tweens cum 16s.

Should have heard them jam in the studio........awesume. Yes they were the real thing.

    They all wrote as well.

  • Odd that their label never released this great song, with them having a weekly TV show and all in 1976.

  • @ramalamadingadong They had no records released along with their weekly TV series. None. All 56 shows that aired (28 filmed with repeats, 56). It was messy, very messy. After January 1976 the Arrows never released another record although they had the weekly TV show. It was a legal matter and destroyed the band. By the end of 1977 they gave up and broke up, since they were contract bound and couldn't release any records it was impossible for them to go on.

  • Nice Rockin!

  • Singer Alan Merrill was actress MacKenzie Phillips boyfriend when this was filmed.

  • That's rock n roll!

  • Alan Merrill's wearing voodoo pyjamas! He looks possessed! LOL

  • ~~~~ shakin' all over!

  • Arrows stage gear on this show was designed by the lovely Ms. Dee Harrington.

  • Dee Harrington was engaged to Rod Stewart for a long time right?

  • Yes.

  • Great song, great band.

  • Arrows clothes designed by seventies London goddess Dee Harrington and her company Razzmatazz

  • Great rocksong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The face of the real rock n roll Arrows, not the corporate puppet RAK EMI Arrows. They show their true leanings here.

  • RAK records did have some very commercial acts and Arrows stood out as not really fitting in to that label. Still, the label got hits with bands like Mud and Kenny who fit the brand better, and that's the name of the game. Arrows releaased very few singles but had a couple of hits all the same.

  • @mistyntwisty - It's interesting to note that this video has more hits than their top 10 hit "touch too much" - This band shoudl have always been writing their own material.

  • @jojoranter Interesting observation! You're right!

  • @jojoranter/ For sure!

  • @jojoranter This is a real rock song, like their original song "I love rock n roll" ; and that's what this band is about.

  • this pretty good!

    nyc listener/watcher likes it alot

  • Jenny the new website is great!

  • The new site address is arrowsfan (dot) co (dot) uk

    - For search engines go to arrows uk fansite.

  • This is a cool song. The band the Arrows ran the gamut of musical styles.

  • Proper showing off! Great!

  • I love this band! Check out the Arrows UK fan site! It's lots of fun. Biography, comics, photos, videos and more!

  • Hi Jenny! You'd better find a new host for the site. Geocities UK is closing down after the summer! Viv- X

  • Great!

  • Nice! Thank you for posting this clip.

  • Too bad the label wouldn't release this sort of material by the band. It only ever came out 30 years later on EMI's Arrows -A's B's and Rarities.

  • Speaking of the Stones, Arrows Terry Taylor was on the short list to play with the Sones when Mick Taylor quit the band. Ron Wood got the job, but Terry was under serious consideration.

  • Sure, Arrows were influenced by the Stones, and Jagger is known as the best rock frontman ever. Aerosmith's singer did it and his band were very successful with it. So why not borrow a few moves? Mick Jagger borrowed from plenty of performers himself!!!

  • Where did you get this? I didn't think there was any footage of Mick Jagger getting robbed on here.

  • They were really into a lot of different musical styles and changed their visual image a lot. The Arrows videos on youtube are all so varied it's like they're a band with a multipul personality dosorder.

  • this is a good band

  • It's a pity Arrows were doing this when punk was just starting to dominate the UK music world. If they had released this sort of high energy stuff a couple of years earlier they would have had hit after hit.

  • supercool

  • The Arrows were perceived of as a pop band, and some of their records were pure power pop, and a few even sugary pop, but the band's natural leanings were straight ahead rock, like this song.

  • this isnt pop its hard rock there are no gay sounds like the other pop songs.

  • Yes! - A very Jagger-ish performance, but in my opinion Alan's prettier:)

  • That goes without saying ;-)

  • I think Alan's trying to be like Mick Jagger here.

  • Paul's drum kit is massive! This looks live as well. The snare sounds great.

  • Guitarist Terry Taylor just had a birthday! Happy Birthday Terry!

  • Looks like a fun band to see live! Lots of energy.

  • FYI- Arrows outfits were designed by Dee Harrington, Rod Stewart's ex-gf.

  • Can I give this singer my phone number? I want to make him an irresistable offer:)

  • Terry Taylor is a superior slide player! I love this song and the singer is an amazing on this.

  • Arrows lead guitarist Terry Taylor is now with Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings. They were the opening act for the Led Zep reunion last Monday Dec 10th, 2007. Terry is a great player!

  • Wow, nice post!

  • When this was on Granada TV it had a target audience of 12 -16 year olds. Alan Merrill is a very talented guy and a quick internet search well show it.

  • Rhythm King Terry Taylor is a major talent, combined with singer Alan Merrill the result was amazing!

  • Jesus! This is incredible! A cross between the Stones and Montrose and they look amazing! Great clothes and the drummer has the best haircut ever! Why don't all bands look as great as this lot? Brilliant!

  • Great song with Arrows at their peak as a band.

  • Terry Taylor rocks!

  • This song rocks!

  • sorry for the basic repost. Watching Alan's brown sensors too much.

  • I swear I hear Montrose.

  • I hear a little bit of Montrose here. I love it.

  • you are right! They should have been huge.

I am so amazed by them.

  • rocknroll!!!

  • OTT, and I'm loving it!

  • ~sexy~

  • kickass! the singer is as loose as a goose and the song is a blend of rock and r&b

  • An insane performance. I am loving it.

  • How the fick did this group not become huge?

  • Yeah. Hot song & I like those seventies clothes!

  • Good energy!
