  • i hope this will come out into service later this month

  • I saw this on Sunday... There were 6 other TR's in Service... Run #'s 102-105 and # 116, and 118. This one is on # 196... If you see a TR with Run # 196 on it then that is a training train

  • @yyzrocketman I was on one of those new TR trains that day too, since they use an estimated of 3 to 4 of those new trains in service on the weekends, I would not be surprised (at least for the time being) that the majority of the trains you've seen on the Y-U-S line are not the new ones. On the weekdays they have up to 5 or 6 of those new TR trains in service, with the most being 9 or 10 during peak periods.

  • @yyzrocketman Actually, this exact train set was running on Feb 14 and the number was 196 in service, not training, but the automated stop announcements weren't working. Neither was the sign and automated route map.

  • @BBCTTC5411 Yes, I remember the same incident too, when I was on TR trainset # 5421-5426 on January 22, 2012, heading northbound between Dundas and Bloor-Yonge stations, (the same day when I shot this practice train here at St. George station), had a similar glitch such as the lack of stop announcements.
