of course... normally you only need to set the point when coming from the single rail... the motor probably prevents free movement of the switch arm so needs to be set from either direction.... it would be good if it allowed trains to pass from either arm even if the point was set against them

Yes, the point is driven via fine phosphor bronze rod. It allows train pass through from either direction. Thanks for your comment.
