xbox 360 red light help!!!

mine can play for about 5-6 mins then all the lights go on.... and if i try to wrap a towel on it when the red lights are on it shuts off auto-matically... i got SHAFTED microsoft can suck a dick

You're an idiot if you use the towels. It's a quick "fix" to get the green lights and then sell it. It's not something to actually fix it.

If it's less than 3 lights... it's not internal.

i had 3 lights on mine i waited the next day removed the hard drive and put it bak in and it worked!!! try that but idk if urs overheated

i just had this happen to me to last night i was soo mad, but what you do is just leave it alone for the day (or hours) and keep it cool with a fan then its gone =]

take your 360 120GB drive out then turn it on..... it should work... if you wana load ur saved files u wait 30 sec then put the drive back in the 360 should restart then open the xbox 360 tray 3 times

hey man, did u send urs in to microsoft? they told me the warrenty doesnt cover 1 red light but i told them i had 3 red lights just so they would send me my box, i just sent it off today, hopefully they will repair it, did they repair urs or did u have to pay?

if you tell them that, then they run tests and it turns out that you dont have the 3 lights.... then they'll send it right back to you..... with no repairs done...

yeah i got the same disconnect all the cables take out the harddrive and leave it for a bout half hour then reconnect it all , try a few times to satrt it up !!!!
