Also it was said already but after watching more of the video and I realized this isn't the kenyan military. The Armed forces wear different uniforms and have more equipment and shit like that on them. These people are merely the park rangers so please don't be ignorant and mistake these guys for the military do your research.

This is not kenyan armed forces but made for tv Shadow force episode in a remote part of northern kenya with members of kenya wildlife service.The kenyan armed forces is more advanced and i hate to say but one of the best trained disciplined forces in africa.They are always being deployed overseas for peace keeping missions notably in bosnia during the bosnian conflict.

Hi there, I am an African, more specifically, I am Kenyan. The kenyan military does know how to use advanced military technology. Technology far beyond that of a simple GPS. Shadow Force as well as US military groups spend time in Northern Kenya and other parts of rural East Africa doing trainings with the Kenya police and the Kenya Army to help control a number of things such as Somali insurgent groups, Drug trafficking, terrorist groups, etc. All of which are a threat to the US.

If that's the case then why couldn't Kenya just deploy some Kenyan military units that are capable of using GPS and use a small aircraft?, insted of employing white men to teach a black man how to use GPS lol

Well for one this episode was about, local affairs only not terrorist camps, Somalia is a failed state to begin with and is known to harbor al qaeda members, they don;t need northen kenya when all of somalia is up for grabs. They aren't allowed to fight, that would be classified as mercenary work. These men are advisers, they teach and train. That is the core of unconventional warfare, teaching the indigenous soldiers how to fight properly so you DON'T have to get involved.

first of it's a small plane not a helicopter.

also polarbear1876 is right they are not being paid to fight with them but to instruct them on how to use the new gear correctly and also help them if needed on tactic being used.

Because the white guys only come in to train them how to carry out the missions and then leave. They're advisers essentially. The black gentlemen must know how to operate without the Shadow Force there.

right, its the blacks guys whom live there not the white guys that are there teaching and trying to help. Although "Shadow Force" is a mercenary force, they are taking more of an advisor role than face to face with the enemy. After all, they are only a team of 4. They advise and train other countries on how to use high tech surveillance equipment. Africa is a big wide open continent with poor communications systems.
