i have that same head and my cab is a gk it has the gold line i like those better

@thechuckwillkill I heard that happens sometimes, its because there was a mistake when it was made in the factory, if you have it on warrenty, usually you can get it fixed for free from whoever you bought it from.

I've owned this head for years. Got it on sale, but it's SO worth it. For the price, this is an amazing head. I can't believe the tone I get out of this.

@drock5972 the thing that makes me laugh is GKs sound is pristine and transparent. the only thing that is going to make your bass sound boring is your bass. Ampeg is great, I use it regularly but it colors everything with its sound. GKs are a different beast....Use a sans-amp if you don't like the pristine sound it has.
