@ngsuching The person asking for forgiveness knows that they've been forgiven by God, but also wants the forgiveness of the person who doesn't see that it's self-destructive to never give forgiveness for mistakes that they have probably made before in the past. In the second verse, the person who is seeking forgiveness tells the unforgiving person that they shouldn't blame them for their bitter feelings just because they brought the matter into the open. Or at least that's how I interpret it.

This song can relate to many people's lifes. We do live for no one but ourselves. Alright...I haven't been on Youtube in a while, so I haven't been really monitoring this video. But, let me clear some things up.
Relient K IS a Christian band, Just about all of their songs relate to God in some way or another. They don't always come right out and say point blank "God", or "Jesus", but they are mainly all about God. Relient K's goal in doing this is to attract non-believers to their music and hopefully have an impact on them through it. Same with bands like Switchfoot.

I wish they'd play Relient K on the radio more often. On my local radio station, this is the only Relient K song they play, and they only play it maybe once every other day :(. It's a great song, but there are so many more that they never even look up.

I don't see why we' re arguing! Everyone has a right to believe what they want to believe in! If you don't believe that God is real or that there is eternal life after death, that's sad but that's just my opinion. And chances are a comment on YouTube won't change ANYBODYS beliefs! Everyone will interpret this song in a different way. I agree that it is about God forgiving our sins. I Love relient k!

If you ask He will come. and even if you don't ask, He knows you are talking about Him.. I do not believe there is a person who at the last moment of their life will not cry out.. reach out... look for Him.. maybe it's just rebellion, but he welcomes each of His beautiful children home... in a split second

i believe, that there's something, that is...divine, maybe someone or something? like God.
But i believe, that it's just different, and not like the christian God. I don't believe, that a God, who really loves me, would like that I have to pay money for my religion! I don't think he would agree, that there have been so many wars in the name of God. I don't want to believe, that i have to go to hell, if i don't believe in God. If he really love all the humans, he woudn't let me tortured at hell.

no matter what we do, God will always has loved us and will continue to love us. If we ask him to become our Savior, and believe in our hearts that he is God, the one and only, and that he sent his son to die on the cross for our sins, then one day, when we die or the Rapture comes, we will be in Heaven for forever with God. Because of his grace, we are "Forgiven". Fellow Christians, this is something to rejoice about! Spread the good news! Don't let the world pass you by! Rejoice!

Also, words such as "damned" and "hell" were not intentionally used as curse words. They're real words, people with real meanings besides what the 21st century world has twisted them into. In this context, as several of you have said, it means "doomed" or "destined" to hell and eternal punishment.

Alright...I haven't been on Youtube in a while, so I haven't been really monitoring this video. But, let me clear some things up.
Relient K IS a Christian band, Just about all of their songs relate to God in some way or another. They don't always come right out and say point blank "God", or "Jesus", but they are mainly all about God. Relient K's goal in doing this is to attract non-believers to their music and hopefully have an impact on them through it. Same with bands like Switchfoot.

All I was saying is I like Relient K but just not this song and that I think people should not take it out on the person who made the video because its not their falt, they like RK and thats why they made the stinkin' video!
