  • holy F, you rock. now let people know about your castbubble-free tech.

  • what model drill press is that? I'm not going to be using a cake pan, but the idea of using an upside down drill press is a good idea.

  • I am using a 3 speed wiper/appliance motor mounted in a wood base. I gravity poured a flange adapter out of pewter that I had modeled in polyclay. The flange is mounted on a piece of MDF that has four hold downs made of threaded stock. That assembly is put on the motor shaft using a set screw. Low is under very low, medium is good for resins and high is great for pewter.

  • As a prop builder on a budget, I give you a huge thumbs up.

  • I've been spincasting for 9 years. Sadly, that looks dangerous and ineffective.

  • Kid, you're a genius. I'm an artist, and I'm not technically inclined. I would love it if you could create a series of videos that illustrate how you would perform the rest of the steps you describe verbally. I'm interested in casting low temp metal (pewter, etc.) and would love to see how you'd pour molds, cut channels in it or sprew your masters, the whole thing. Been looking on Youtube for videos on it, but none show how a spin castor with a rubber wheel shaped mold can be made. Please help!

  • spincasting = no airbubbles.

    no airbubbles = good
