its an OK tutorial; but one big tip. DO NOT TOUCH THE MICROCONTROLLERS LIKE HE IS. THIS WILL VERY EASILY BREAK THEM DUE TO STATIC ELECTRICITY. DO NOT MAN HANDLE THESE DEVICES. Esd ONLY.
@BrentBXR You are correct. If you will touch the pins, then make sure to dissipate the static electricity by grounding. This tutorial was developed to show various features of the microcontroller, so touching it was necessary. Thanks for the tips.
Ok, this kind of equipement is only used to develop AVR atmel projects but what about the PIC, ARM, 8051 and is it the same thing to programm any other kind of microcontrollers, another questions is there any other links to some of complete projects like special robots and programmable machines those contain microcontrollers thank you
Agreed... I just finished watching all of your videos, and they are GREAT! Thank you very much for your time in presenting them. Very helpful.
The only suggestion I would make, and this is for *complete* newbies to this (such as myself), would be to maybe just give us a source for the hardware you used. You showed some of that, but it's hard to find some of this stuff when you don't understand what it is. But these are great videos, and I really appreciate the time you put into making them!
Where is part 2?

really really great series on microcontrollers...
just what I was looking for...
I have a short question. Can your setup with the breadboard also program the Atmel ATtiny25?
I am trying to build a flash converter unit for a Minolta 5400HS flash which uses the MCU.
mYOzZyKaT 1 year ago 2
@mYOzZyKaT Yes, you can use the same software and drivers, but check the pinout of the tiny to determine how to connect the programmer to the micro.
