Out of all their songs, their most power-ballad song. :) That I have heard anyway! Still one of my favorites of theirs, even after hearing it upon its release almost 22 years ago...
I am 34 years, but until now this music is timeless, time after time great. Kip winger knows how to make music with emotion. You could feel the emotion not only in music but also see it in his beautiful eyes. he is rugged and rebellious but what a handsome young man. He is like a godsend gift for the music world and the women. what would I want to see more of him on this site and more of his old music and clips. Mr. winger if you have more music videos old and new..
Seriously, no one gives a flying fuck if you're 15, or whatever, and listen to good music. Music is not about being 'hip' and 'cool' because you listen to certain bands. Props for people keeping the music alive but honestly, kids need to stop trying to gain attention.
@whiteipod2000 and was killed by MTV,s cynical promotion of "grunge" within months , i was there i remember it , MTV hated the fact that they had to play real music and decided to drop rock replace it with their own choice and manipulate rock fans as if they were pop fans , and they did it SHAME ON YOU MTV AND YOUR GAY BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD SHIT.
All the digitally created music and voices these days have actually brought many people to appreciate the true talent these artist offered. I sincerely hope that music will get back to the elements that created such classics!
i like how bands todayy say their influences were the 80s metal bands but yet their music is nothing like its, because their to busy to understand the meaning of "good music"
The music industry does some kind of trend hopping every few years and has no interest in artist development over a long time period: from '85 to '91 Glam Metal was the guarantee to make money during the classic MTV-era. When Nirvana smashed the charts in '92 they pushed the alternative rock movement. Every band that came from Seattle or at least looked grungy enough got a record deal until the whole scene burnt out. In the late 90s/early 2ks they found New Metal and Limp Bizkit. And so on...
1980's...Big Hair, Rock Ballad's, Stylish Clothes...Real Music was made and lasts through Today. I would LOVE to be a 1980's Radio Disc Jockey...Memories were made then with songs attached that Today I reminisce over and remember the past. Long Live the 1980's Music..
yeah i'm 34 years old this year, & when i hear this kind of music, i going back teen cool guy. no doubt 80's music is real. not like now no power. hehehehe,,,,! no soul! shit! & no life,,,!
The difference between music then and now? ....back then bands had real musicians who knew how to make songs that can stand the test of time...this stuff is 20 years old and I remember THIS alot more than the biggest "hit" last week.....
And can someone tell rock bands today that a song without a guitar solo is just not cutting it.....
@Islandsoundzz well more could i have added to this message, spot on, bands then also knew how to play a live gig, awsome era to be brought up in and it still the only music i listen to now.
@Islandsoundzz amen this is when music was music and bands knew how to sing and play instruments these songs will stand the test of time for a long time as long as people remember them and keep themalive!!!!!!
@Islandsoundzz Remember, too, Winger's influences: The Beatles, Hendrix, etc. What do kids have nowadays: Britney Spears, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, and other no talents where there's no real singing and no one playing an instrument. No wonder kids (and everyone else) are looking from the 50s to the 90s for music. BTW: Couldn't agree with you more.
It doesnt get any better than this. Kip Winger and an extremely talented band. This is my kind of music. I could look at him all day long while listening to him, and by the time the hubby got home from work, hed be getting lucky. LOL He loves for me to watch a Winger video, cuz hell reap the benefits. DAMN Kip,you are one sexy man. mmmmm
God i love the guy in this video..he is soo finnee.. i have crushed on him since like way back when this firs came out.. i dont know who he is..but woooww..lol
@annaliese257 that sounds great i wish this music would come back i remeber when this was new music. dudes had somthing against winger most of them but i alaways thought they where great. i goot to meet kip winger the singer a couple of years ago he was one awesome dude.
@annaliese257 the 80's were the best years of my life! The music spoke to me like no other music can. I hope your friends can keep this music going strong,
everyone has their own taste of music. it's not up to us to tell them what is good or bad. this is a god given right. with that said..i think the music that my dad listened to was bad..and him mine. so before you judge..take a long look in the mirror. every find a song that just fits what your feeling at that moment in time? this is mine on a monday morning at 2:10am.
@tomcamp6023.....these guys where on the fast-track to fame, until that one fateful night a show called Bevis and Butthead blasted them.....then the became the laughing stock of the 80ties for awhile until they disappeared off of the radar....which is to bad because all of these guys are top quality in their own rights..
God he is really beautiful. LOL. Sorry thats alittle gay but he is a good looking guy. Probably why he didn't get the credit he deserves. So talented!!
i lived this music in high school i graduated in 91 and my memories are as big as my hair was.Im still in a band and i make my living playing music, it would be hard to play clubs without my music... big hair glam
@TopChris1975 I wish I could live in that time. I'm stuck in the 2000's, and I freaking hate it. I don't belong here at all. Haha at least you got to experience all of the glory and amazing-ness of the 80's as my parents did. (:
Actually this song came out in November of 1990, so it's not technically, 80's, although it still has that awesome 80's sound! My favorite song from Winger
Here in Brazil this song was a hit in 1991 on the soundtrack for a novel. I was born in 1984 and wanted to live the best years of Rock, now has many other good bands and some bad, but the rock music industry is no longer the same.

fuck... this song is my living picture right now... just when I need her the most she's miles away from me, and she's not coming back... everything from the video reminds me of myself: bedroom full of memories, desperation, flashbacks, even the ventilator in the end (haha)... but really, this is a fuckin' awesome song...

@Smallimages10 God said me 80's is inside of you and nobody will take it from you. This is the gift you have. This present generation is damned with Justin Bieber, while you have this bless.
what a great tune that standed the test of time..been there done that... always good to think about the past it stings a lil but thanks to songs like this you can maybe learn something.
this was me and my first love's song...I moved away from him.....can't tell ya how many times I listened to this song in my room.....ahhh....jr high! Godd Times!
the problem with todays music is jus that young people are trying to produce garbage with hardly any musical education. I don't blame em for doing it cause there makin mad cash but the reality is ppl forget about lady gaga or whoevers most recent hit after like a month anyway so maybe put some effort and pride into ur music and bring back some talent and creativity into the music scene...or i will ;)
@bigbeaner99 i like winger and hard rock in general. but dont go knocking lady gaga until you hear her do an acoustic set. She is actually a true musician. but for the most part u are right. The other problem is that all the "true" musicians are in the background writing the songs that the younger starts front. either the true musicians dont have the looks or the voice, kip was lucky that he had all.

I loved my "Michelle" when I came back I acted just like this guy in this
video I know now it looks "dated" but every time I watch or hear this
I think of her, to come back from far away and find she is gone was
heartbreaking. I actually rode around like this guy in this video out
of my mind too find she moved away ..man it took me a long time!

@Smallimages10 God said me 80's is inside of you and nobody will take it from you. This is the gift you have. This present generation is damned with Justin Bieber, while you have this bless.

a good song that's made great by one thing...THE CHORUS...it might be a lot like "without the night" off the previous album...but it's still AMAZING.

the problem with todays music is jus that young people are trying to produce garbage with hardly any musical education. I don't blame em for doing it cause there makin mad cash but the reality is ppl forget about lady gaga or whoevers most recent hit after like a month anyway so maybe put some effort and pride into ur music and bring back some talent and creativity into the music scene...or i will ;)
bigbeaner99 1 year ago 2
@bigbeaner99 i like winger and hard rock in general. but dont go knocking lady gaga until you hear her do an acoustic set. She is actually a true musician. but for the most part u are right. The other problem is that all the "true" musicians are in the background writing the songs that the younger starts front. either the true musicians dont have the looks or the voice, kip was lucky that he had all.

Why the hell does Beavis and Butt-Head rip off this band so much? Winger kicks ass.
