Man carol city got about 8000 band members, about 7400 of em are auxiliary tho.

Seen em at battle of bands in lauderhill this year. Their show was very musically sophisticated but wasnt as fun as ours (stranahan).

That was a sucky ESPN!!! I'm not trying to go against the school, and also my school has the southern sound, yet that ESPN hit a Db i think, not checkin right now yet this is bad for a showcase band, and my school is a corps. band only since the principal wants it to be.

I can dig that... I didnt intend that to come off as an insult. But, I feel you. Bands here (Duval) have dropped off the map also. I dont think its the fact that ppl' dont think band is cool anymore. Its that ppl' dont have the dedication and time to invest in learning something like music and the camaraderie it takes to make a large group a ppl' into a single band that can wreck shop like Katrina...

I agere with you because kids today don't do anything at all. Even the football teams have gone down in size so its activities period. MAybe its because of FCAT down here

That could be true also, but then that makes the case high school students in general. I passed the FCAT my time round, and that was when they first started the FCAT (I think 98) I graduated in 01... Guess what Im headed to FAMU in the Fall, and reporting for Pre Drill. It lives inside of you, I went to the military for 5 yrs and the only thing I could think about was getting back on the field with my saxophone... Some ppl' have some dont.

CC and a bunch of other schools... if you search fro ESPN you will see that North Carolina A&T played ESPN on the field@ a game.. a college in case you didn't know so can somebody please explain 2 me the big deal?
