  • same music the whole game, lol.

  • That music get into your head! Something about the graphic style and background art reminds me of Faxanadu crossed with Astyanax.

  • I never would have thought to do a time attack on one of the slowest-moving games ever. Nicely done!

  • Jay needs to add Karnov to Super Mario Crossover.

  • holy cow, you beat the 'nov in 9 minutes? nice job

  • Karnov music has been stuck in my head for 20 years. Some of the original best.

BTW nice run.. . my god this game was so hard as a kid.

  • Hey look it's the same Karnov from Bad Dudes (made by the same people at Data East)!

  • that music just makes me want to take over Russia or something. the giggling statues that throw rocks and the green demon hovering bitch, truly a unique game. nice run too.

  • karnov falls quite slow after a while

  • This game i was a master at beat this game so many times on the arcard some boards where hard some where easy dam 20 years ago

  • I beat this game as a kid a grand total of...one time. It had the creepiest looking characters ever. like those bouncing musclemen.

  • I like how Karnov has to travel to Babylon, (the huge Zuggrant) in one of the levels.

  • Way too easy? What a liar.

I loved this game when I was a kid. It had cool music and was challenging. Although it probably wasn't the best-made nes game out there, it was a classic.

  • when was 10 yrs old the game mesmorized me..the strange music, sounds and weird creatures..

  • my fav nes game of all time, a bit frustrating at times but the hilight of my day (in elementry school) was coming home to play karnov. i miss it and wii needs to put it on virtual console soon.

  • ATTN: People who think this game had a terrible ending --

-- Welcome to the age of the NES. Get over yourselves.

  • Even for the NES this ending sucks. They could have added a little picture or a little scene using sprites already available in the game. They really have no excuses.

  • @roffles64 The Japanese NES (Famicom) version of Karnov came out first and had three different endings. The "age of NES" had nothing to do with the removal of the endings from the US version.

  • Well pardon me for living in North America.

  • @roffles64 What's with the attitude? I'm in NA too BTW. Suddenly it's wrong to read up and post info on foreign versions of games?

  • @roffles64 Anyway, my point was that this game originally had a better ending that was removed for the US. That's a bit different than simply not having an ending.

  • he's so you know it, he's has some cheats on.

    he's getting hit several times.

  • dude you dont need to cheat

  • he's so you know it, he's has some cheats on.

    he's getting hit several times.

  • Oh dear, what an ending :D

The C64 version was awful as it had utterly difficult controls but at least it had a real ending screen with graphics and, if I recall right, some animation too (I "completed" it by just getting through the first level without cheating and after that whenever I died I just didn't rewind the game tape. I just pressed play again and so it loaded to the next level, eventually letting me to see the ending :) )

  • Great music

  • Wow... I'm so glad I lost this game and never had a chance to beat it. What horrible ending!! It's worse than Rygar!

  • lol he needs to hit celebrity fit club!

  • I haven't seen this game in years.

  • used to play this all the time...couldnt beat it tho.....what a horrible game

  • I never played the arcade version but I remember having a lot of fun on the NES Version.

  • Man the NES version got butchered BAD!
