If anyone think Moon is perfect and has a perfect family as he claims, look at some of his children. His eldest son was a drug addict, womaniser and wife batterer and she divorced him. One of his daughters have left the religious group and is now denouncing the church.
@Henrydec This is a common misconception about our teachings. Rev. Moon doesn't claim his family is perfect. In fact, if someone truly understands our theology, it is obvious that they are not perfect. It is their position and responsibility that earns them the title of 'True Family', but it is something that is still 'a work in progress'.
Mr.Moon had claimed his family was perfect and all his children were born without original sin and were perfect. That's what I was taught during your 7 day and 21 day workshop. Please do not deny it. Unless of course, the church have suddenly changed their stance that his children are not perfect after the disgraceful and immoral acts of his eldest son.
@Henrydec If you were taught that in a workshop, you were taught incorrectly. Have you read the Divine Principle? The book was written in the early 1950s, and clearly sets out the difference between being born without original sin and perfection. The church has never changed it's stance, but it is true that many of our early members were naive about the True children, and assumed that the children would be saints... All the true children have at least the same potential to sin as Adam and Eve.
@Loew01 im sorry but i went to the church since i was a child. Were taught that the "true" family is in highest regard and the closest thing to perfection compared to other families. now if you deny that then you don't follow what they try and teach very well <.<....
For those who are single and thinking of joining this organisation. What they don't tell you beforehand is that you're expected to give up your career, bank account, family, friends, studies and work full time fundraising for Moon up to 12 hrs/day 6 days/wk with no pay and little sleep. Eventually Moon will arrange you to be married to a complete stranger who may not speak your language or from a different culture. If that's what you want, join them. How I knw? I was a member.
@Henrydec Hello Henry. Just want to point out that my parents wen through that whole process you are talking about, and it made them happier and better people. They weren't tricked into it either.. It's an all volunteer program, and a lot of people kept their bank accounts and properties. Most gave out of their sincere desire to help something they believed in. Now many of our families are quite successful, especially the ones who were married as complete strangers...
Like I said before, if being married to a complete stranger from a different culture and problem with communication, work up to 12hrs/day, 6 days/wk, wake up Sunday morning at 3am and rush to pledge service to worship photos of Moon and recite a pledge to be faithful to Moon all the days of your life is really what potential recruits want and will enjoy, then please go ahead and join the Moonies. If not, avoid them like a plague.
@Henrydec Fair enough on this point. We believe in sacrifice and working hard, and we believe it improves quality of life. Sunday mornings are 5am, and now it's not just Sundays but everyday. Fundraising is now around 8hours, 10-12 on weekends. It's a training program, so about 2 yrs. Rev. Moon is always there to lead it. Marrying a stranger isn't as bad as people may think, since very few people in the modern world have figured out how to have a successful marriage.
Although I don't agree with the Unification Church's teachings, I actually enjoyed listening to your vid. I find your voice rather pleasant to listen to. Thanks
@sjdrifter72 pleasant to listen to? his voice has a very robotic, monotone sound to it. kinda creepy to me and seems to me his voice is already getting to you. watch out!!
@sjdrifter72 pleasant to listen to? his voice has a very robotic, monotone sound to it. kinda creepy to me and seems to me his voice is already getting to you. watch out!!
Moon, JW's, Mormons, all other cults, (too numerous to mention!)....ALL are part of the end times era. These are the false religions and false prophets/messiahs that Jesus warned would come.
@missionarymayn Mt 7:15 Jesus said to his disciples: "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but underneath are ravenous wolves.
@openupfresh No, not yet, but probably within the The Christian mistake is that they think the story of Christ is about victory over physical death, when it is actually about victory over spiritual death, caused by the Fall. This spiritual death is caused because of a change of lineage from God's line to the archangel Lucifer. That is why the Messiah must be born on earth, and why Jesus can't just return and magically save everyone. Sun Myung Moon comes in the 'spirit and power' of Christ
@missionarymayn Read it many times... and thought about it a lot. At the end of the day, the Christian view of the Bible as a whole is kinda ignorant and doesn't make sense. Especially not compared to the explanation of the Divine Principle and the teachings of Rev. Moon. That's just my honest opinion...
@qigong1001 Jesus loves all people, and if possible, would like all people to be wealthy, both in body (material wealth) and spirit (spiritual wealth).
@Loew01 I've watched some more of your vids. And read some of Moon's writings. And I still don't see the appeal. If Jesus wants everyone to be wealthy in body and spirit, then what is he waiting for? And I'd like to ask again: I love all people and want everyone to be materially wealthy...so am I jesus? Am I a prophet, messiah? (I'm not trying to de-convert you...I know how much you love people trying to do that...this is simply for stimulation of new ideas thru debate).
@qigong1001 "If Jesus wants everyone to be wealthy in body and spirit, then what is he waiting for?" This is a good question, but it is essentially the same question as 'if God is good, why is their evil in the world'? I try to answer this a bit in Video 7 about God. The simple answer is that neither Jesus nor God can force people to do anything. Poverty is a side-product of evil, which is because people are separated from God. Only people can solve this problem...
@Loew01 And poverty is not simply an evil issue. Theoretically, the only way "people can solve this problem" is by fairly distributing to everyone, initally at least (so as not to fall in the communist trap) I'm sure, given Moon's political involvements, that he is not a fan of that idea. So we have a dilemma. If he is the messiah and wants everyone to have wealth, then it must start with the messiah. He must set the example by distributing as much as possible. But we don't see that.
@qigong1001 Actually, you misjudge Rev. Moon. He IS a fan of equal distribution, something the Principle takes time to lay out in detail. You might think Rev. Moon is wealthy, but what does he own? Everything that is bought is actually owned by the church, and he doesn't abuse his 'comforts'. There is not a person in the world that devotes as much time and money to the public cause, and Rev. Moon does not use his supposed 'wealth' to live in luxury.
@qigong1001 to elaborate on this point, everything he has could be taken away from him by a board of directors and is shared by our entire church community. His mansion in NY? Every day he is there it is filled with 100s of members. Every where he goes, he is never alone, never at peace. Morning to night he is investing his time and money to help generate solutions to the various and complex problems of the world. You are right that the Messiah must set the example, but that is what he is doing.
@Loew01 We both know, that he has way more than just a mansion in new york. And many religions use the "church" as a loophole to owing taxes, etc. As for who is devoting the most time and money to public cause...I don't know. Its a claim that I've heard numerous times from friends about their religions. Excluding corporations, we can easily exclude Moon as the most charitable. Ofcourse, I hope you are not counting his political contributions? It just doesn't fit.
@Loew01 By the way, the money is coming from fundraisers, and member "donations"; as well as from moon's side businesses. so, really you guys are doing all the hard grunt work...not moon.
@qigong1001 I actually don't like people trying to de-convert me. I really like "stimulation of new ideas thru debate", so I think we're both on the same page ;) Of course wealth doesn't make someone the Messiah. the reason Rev. Moon is the Messiah is because he has brought a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of God's nature, something necessary to eradicate the evil in this world. He could do this because of a direct personal relationship with God.
@Loew01 Part 1 Well, we have no way to evaluate god's nature...so we can't say if Moon is accurate. His "way" may work for some, but not for others. There are many conceptions of a higher power and it all boils down to faith. My religious friends will never argue on the grounds of evidence, but faith. So that is an impass, don't you think?
@qigong1001 Actually, something that is different in our faith is that we believe we do not need faith to related with God. If God is real, then faith should not be necessary, since the goal would be to converse directly with God. This is difficult to do, and probably not something most people will be capable of achieving in their lifetimes, but ultimately possible. We don't have 'faith' that our family members exist, because we know thru our relationships with them. So it should be with God...
@Loew01 "We do not need faith to relate with god.If god is real, then..." But thats where the faith part comes in. If he is real. We don't know what god is or its nature or even if it is real. We know our families exist, not because of our relationships, but because we can see, feel, hear, touch, and more accurately scientifically measure them in some way. One may argue of an imaginary friend and talk of his relationship with him as if it felt very real; yet that does imply any sort of reality.
it is said that the divine principle is the ultimate truth and the final truth, am i right? why a revise version which is called ORIGINAL DIVINE PRINCIPLE come out now a day, does that mean that the first DP is not the ultimate one. does it mean that in the future it will be revise again and again depending on human interest?
@espakor I would just add that it is not just religions that make baseless claims. It is something that all people tend to do, because the stark reality of our existence is that there is not enough evidence to come to any solid conclusions. We must all make choices based on assumptions in order to live any kind of meaningful life...
@junflores30000 (Sorry for the delay) I like your question because it is so typically Japanese... you start by saying 'it is said'. By whom? DP itself clearly points out that there is more knowledge that must be found, and ultimately all religious texts are merely guide books, because the truth can only be discovered personally by each person when they directly meet God. There can never be an "ultimate & final" truth in written words. The ODP is not really different, btw. More of an upgrade ;)
@Loew01 MMMMMMM,not satisfied. in your country perhaps you can think free ,move free and talk free, but here in asia southeast and far east, that is not the situation here, you can ask those missionaries who came here before. for me we are like slaves the more we go deeper , the more our hand and mouth and eyes are tied together. difficult to say , but its true. cant DONATE, we are ask to go out of the church membership. we just hang on and make our face thick in order not to be kick out.
@junflores30000 I'm not sure which country you are living in, but if you are getting kicked out because you are not donating, then your leaders don't understand the principle. Father never kicked anyone out of the church.
Rev. Sun Myung Moon built his business from the ground up when he came to the U.S with nothing. He doesn't need our puny money. He wants us to donate so we can support the places of worship that we rent, to pay for the pastors and ministers that preach to us, and of course everything in between.
As far as being asked to leave the church because we don't donate? lol I'm not sure who you are but this is the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
Stumbled onto this video by accident. Don't know much about the Unification church & I am not looking into it either but the video is very relaxing :)
@plptous Soon to be destroyed, eh? The one funny thing about Jehovah Witnesses is that everything is 'soon'... so how long would it take for you to realize that it no longer counts as soon? 20 years? 50 years? 500 years? If the world is still here in 500 years, will you concede that you were wrong?
@Loew01 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth [it]. Revelation 2:17
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 Again, your interpretation seems a lot more vague and abstract. The problem with this verse is that it can be seen as general ("him that overcometh" could refer to a multitude of people, or could refer to just one person). Rev. Moon did have a experience with Jesus, who handed him his mission directly. There is no deception involved in this, since if you believe that Paul could meet Jesus on the road to Damascus, then such a thing is surely possible.
@Loew01 I don't what the Jew's would have done, neither do you. There is no real Messiah is here to say Moon is or isn’t the second coming, just logic and reason. Let me just say I find it hilarious that you rest your entire religion on a quote that you have misinterpreted and can't even cite. If you actually want to see how badly you have done this I'll post it for you.
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 You are right, we have logic and reason, which is why we can assume that the Jews would not have killed Jesus if they believed he was the Messiah they were waiting for... that's logical. Why kill the person you are waiting to meet? I didn't 'misinterpret' the verse, and I could have cited if you had asked. Rev. 3:12 is similar, but to be clear, our "entire religion" doesn't rest on Bible quotes. We use them to support our theology, but the Bible is not the end all and be all
@Loew01 I think if Jesus couldn’t convince them already I doubt a remark from John the Baptist would have changed much, assuming it would make all Jews turn to Christ comes from a lack of logic and reason. Yes, you did it refers to every person taking Jesus into their heart, not rev. Moon getting his job. Well I was asking for a Bible quote several times and you still haven't produced one. Continued …
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 Actually, John the Baptist was much more respected than Jesus at the time. It is actually a very reasonable assumption, considering that people were wondering if John the Baptist was the Christ (John 1:19-24). Also, how do you interpret Jesus giving a name to "him that overcomes, with a new name only they will know" as taking Jesus into their heart? That's the problem with interpretations: they are all quite subjective.
@Loew01 Your right, there would have been no more Jews if that had happened, the entire religion would have ceased and they would all be worshiping emperor Moon now like they should. Well according to scholars he being anyone who follows Christ and the tenets of Christianity will receive the spirit only they will know and understand. How do you get Rev. Moon is the messiah from it? I think my interpretation is much more common than yours, in fact I know it is.
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 There would be no more Jews if what had happened? (sorry, YouTube should allow people see what is being replied to, i have no idea what you are referring to...). You should know that something being more common or more widely believe doesn't make it true or false. Our view of Rev. Moon being the Messiah is based on a wide variety of reasons, some of them explanations of the Bible, some of them Rev. Moon's own actions and words.
@Loew01 If John the Baptist said he was Elijah; I still fail to see how this connects to Moon being the Messiah. A wide variety, really? I'm confused as I have asked for anything in the Bible that actually directly references Moon as you see him as the messiah, all you have provided is a half quote that was utterly misinterpreted, also are these actions like stealing millions from Japanese widows, tax evasion and brain washing? I have posted his words and they speak of a totalitarian dystopia.
@Loew01 I think the real reason for this is the that moon got his mission from a vision kind of like Smith the Mormon con man, is this part of “heavenly deception”? Yeah, I know and that you call yourself Christians after mocking its only holy book is laughable. Christianity has only one book the Bible.
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 Again, you are showing your obvious ignorance of our beliefs. We don't call ourselves Christian (something I explain clearly in my fourth video), for the very reason that we don't see agree with many Christian concepts. For example, we don't see the Bible as being complete or without error... but I wasn't mocking the Bible, only trying to point out some of its flaws...
@Loew01 Unfortunately you don’t get to butcher the tenets of Christianity, then just pretend it’s a new religion it’s a cult that will die along with Moon. Is this because it doesn’t mention Moon so he had to write the Divine Principles to make himself seem holy? When you clearly misinterpret its teaching to justify your worship of Moon I would consider that mocking, not to mention paying lip service to it while really believing and following a man that is completely contrary to it.
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 Look, it wouldn't make ANY sense for the Bible to have mentioned Moon by name, just like the Jewish prophecies neither mentioned Jesus or John the Baptist by name... that argument is really the epitome of ignorance. Also, in my seventh video I explain that God does not know the future, which is why he would not give specific names in his prophecies. The Principle does not try to make Rev. Moon look holy. It just explains the Bible in a way that makes sense.
@Loew01 I'm not even asking for Moon by name, just something about a new messiah that is also an Asian con man, but it is fun seeing struggle to find something that wasn't written by your cult leader. Why do you feel you need Moon's interpretation? Wouldn’t it be smart to read the book without his influence? You have to admit the man has something to gain from making you believe he’s the messiah, people have been doing the same thing forever and have all been liars what makes Moon special?
The estate, called East Garden, had been my personal prison for fourteen years, since the day the Reverend Moon summoned me from Korea to be the child bride of his eldest son, the heir to Moon's divine mission and earthly empire. Then, I was only fifteen, a naive schoolgirl eager to serve her God. Now, I was a woman ready to reclaim her life. I would take the only thing holy about this marriage, my children, and leave behind the man who beat me and the false Messiah who let him - Nansook Hong
@cumacumachameleon I feel the exact same way, I can understand how somebody can believe in Jesus, what I can’t understand how somebody can follow Moon and think they are actually following Christ. Just read The Bible, Mathew, Peter, Paul have all condemned you.
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 So far I haven't seen many facts (many one or two), lots of quote mining, plenty of ad hominem, with a good bit of Bible bashing thrown in, although ironically you seem to use the Bible while not really believing in it, which is something I find quite strange... I actually asked a question to show you one of our core beliefs about the Bible and how it actually supports our understanding of the 2nd Coming. your answer to this question is that maybe Jesus wasn't the Messiah...
@Loew01 I've used facts about Rev. Moon's business dealings, his brainwashing techniques for his followers (clearly displayed on this page), yes, his quotes which prove he's evil, facts about his supposedly perfect family which clearly isn’t, oh yeah his helicopter crash (Jesus wouldn’t have let donkey crash), historical facts, etc. I'll admit the Bible condemns me to, but I don't pretend to believe in it's the word of God, you’re the one following a false prophet according to it.
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 how many times do we have to tell you ....rev moon doesnt claim to have a perfect family. if my dad was perfect i wouldnt want him to run my life just so i could be perfect. and actually you havent given any facts about his brainwashing
@cumacumachameleon Answer this question, how can Moon be perfect without being able to raise his kids perfectly? Jesus is celibate why isn't Moon even going so far as to have extra-marital affairs? That doesn’t sound very Christ like to me. So all those former members claiming the use of “love Bombing” and other indoctrination techniques are just lying?
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 One problem with this question is your concept of perfect, but to answer it directly, there are a lot of factor's to raising a family and Rev. Moon was not the sole influence on his children. The children lived and interacted with many people, and each of them have an influence, good and bad, on them. At the end of the day, the responsibility lies with the children. Jesus was meant to marry and have children, and we view his death as one of the greatest tragedies in history
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 Just to clarify our view on the Bible: we don't see it as being 100% accurate. It was written by people, and people make mistakes, even if they are inspired by God. The Bible has truth and is incredibly valuable in understanding God's will and history, but it was written to a certain audience at a certain time for a certain purpose, and to be perfectly frank, it is quite outdated.
@Loew01 C. “if you are willing to accept it, he is Elijah.” In other words, John the Baptist’s identification as Elijah was not predicated upon him being Elijah, but rather upon people’s responses to his role. To those who were willing to believe in Jesus, John the Baptist functioned as Elijah, for they believed in Jesus as Lord. To the religious leaders who rejected Jesus, John the Baptist did not perform this function.
@cumacumachameleon My pleasure I will ask the same question I have posed several times. Where in the Bible is the quote about Rev. Moon? I doubt you'll answer as out of all the people I’ve been arguing with here you are the least intelligent and have refused to answer a single question I previously asked.
There is absolutely no quote in the Bible that would mention Rev. Moon. That is because Rev. Moon's birth was not predestined. The Messiah could have come at a different time and in a different age if certain conditions had been met. That is why all Biblical predictions by their very nature have to be vague and/or symbolic. Revelations does speak about Jesus giving the person who overcomes a rock with a new name known only to himself. We interpret this to be the passing on of Jesus' mission.
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 Since you believe that people can follow Christ, but it seems you don't believe he was the Messiah, then you probably believe he wasn't born of a virgin and was just some kind of inspirational speaker. If that is the case, Matthew, Peter, Paul and Christian theology have condemned you as well, since only those, who believe in Christ as the Messiah can go to heaven, according to the Bible,. If you're using the Bible as your standard of judgment, we're both equally doomed :P
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 Of course I have considered that. If so, then the Bible doesn't have any real value, so I don't get why you are quoting it?? If Jesus wasn't the messiah, then the Bible is a made up story by a bunch of delusional people in Israel 2000 years ago. That's definitely an option I've considered, but I decided that the Bible makes enough sense and is inspiring enough to be from God, is not 100% absolute literal truth.
@cumacumachameleon Yeah I know what you’re crazy cult preaches, sorry if worded it weirdly. Where is this in The Bible? I repeat nowhere! Mathew, Paul and Peter have all condemned you and Moon, something to think about.
@cumacumachameleon Yep, that's what a Moonie would say, that wouldn’t have anything to do with Rev. Moon's own personal hatred of Communism since being born in N. Korea? No, this is about false prophets in the name of God, read it correctly "9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed." Where is Rev. Moon being Jesus or Adam being Jesus in The Bible? Oh yeah it's not, it's one or the other.
6 I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, 7 which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.Galatians 1:6-9
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 wow you have too much time on your hands. the false ideology the bible warns was communism.
You still fail to give me evidence. you quote the bible but that doesnt mean it applies to rev moon. your just gonna deny anyone who claims to be the messiah. can you see how stupid that is.
1 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. 2 And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3 By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.2 Peter 2:1-3
@cumacumachameleon I do think for myself and do independent re-search, do you have the stones and the intellect to seek out information that might challenge your view that that Moon is Jesus? What would it take for you to realize it was all a lie? Because I can probably find you a good example as I'm sure your perceptual bias from the brainwashing is almost impossible to overcome.
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 As do we. First of all, we don't believe Moon IS Jesus. We believe he has inherited the mission of Jesus as the Messiah. To help us see that it is all actually a lie, why not answer of our theological questions: If Jesus was the Messiah, then who was the prophet Elijah that was supposed to come before him? Jesus said it was John the Baptist, yet earlier John denied that he was the Elijah. Later, John even doubted Jesus. Was John the Elijah, and if so, why did he deny it?
@Loew01 Really, where’s the Bible quote about Rev. Moon? If you want the standard Christian answer I’ll give it to you, A. Judaism has no reincarnation (eastern philosophy) only resurrection. B. “the Bible is quite clear that John the Baptist is given this designation because he came in the “spirit and power of Elijah” (Luke 1:17), not because he was Elijah in a literal sense.
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 Your explanation of the Biblical view on John is very accurate, and that is our view on Rev. Moon being the 2nd coming of Christ. He is not Jesus in a literal sense, but he comes in the 'spirit and power of Elijah'. What you said about only those who already believe in Jesus as Lord accepting that John the Baptist was Elijah is exactly the problem... What if John has accepted himself that he was Elijah? Would the Jewish leadership have then accepted Jesus as Lord?
@cumacumachameleon 1. Wrong, he explicitly threatens death. 2. Moon doesn’t have a perfect family? How can Moon be perfect (which he obviously isn’t) if he can't raise his children perfectly? Nothing wrong with owning a business, but it is less business than a front group for your evil cult to help forward along your twisted ideology kind of like Murdoch and Fox News. 4. Any money to the Unification Church? Where do you think he gets that money to be a "business owner" as you put it?
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 1. Again, you are taking his quotes out of context. We have a very clear view of life and death, and his speech was relating to spiritual death. By the way, since you like to use quotes, do you have the references to those verse so I can find the actual context? 2. Common misconception about Moon's family: we don't believe they are perfect. The fact you are confused on this point shows your utter ignorance of our belief system. Prejudiced by your bias, no doubt.
@cumacumachameleon you didn't answer any of my questions, I'm guessing because you can't. Does it count if they didn't follow the Lord of The Second Advent? Some great empires where Christian, that doesn’t explain why none where till Constantine’s conversion. What about China and the Soviet Union or all those Godless liberal democracy’s of Europe or even America secular as it is?
@cumacumachameleon His own words vowing to conquer the world, then subjugate and most likely kill people like me, his imperfect family including a son that’s a wife beating, drug abusing sack of shit who he tries to make you believe are perfect, he funds the Republican Party & other far right wing groups, owns the conservative Washington Times, steals the money of his members, brainwashes members by 'Love Bombing' , "Heavenly Deception," etc. Yep, way funnier I’m just on another level than you.
@cumacumachameleon Yes, I do and that's exactly why I'm here, as far as I’m concerned he is the representation of pure greed and evil incarnate. Well you basically admitted as much, I think you also have to admit I’m funnier than you to. What made the polytheist Greek, Roman, Ancient Egypt, Inca, Aztec etc. great empires?
@cumacumachameleon No nothing to do with Jesus, it’s because he was right on this subject people should be wary of cult leaders, simple as that. Really, who is "he" and which ones are those? I didn't say it didn't mention the east, I said it didn't mention Moon or Korea no rebuttal to that, huh? No, I'm stating Moon's own words and coming to a fact based conclusion, it’s called critical thinking scary I know.
@cumacumachameleon Nope, I’m just 24 and a lot smarter than you. No, you just had to admit you where wrong and didn't know the first thing about European history. Personally I feel people make our history not God, you really have to believe in predestination as if you didn't you would realize the man’s going to be dead within the decade, then what? You certainly did not counter the argument and implied that since the world is evil so Rev. Moon can be. How should Moon best subjugate us heretics?
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 do you know anything about his life. i guess you dont since you dont think he can have a positive impact on the world. who cares how old you are. you're stupid enough to make a claim you're smarter than me over youtube. wow good one. christianity made rome as great as it was!
@cumacumachameleon I agree with Mathew, that doesn’t mean I have to believe Jesus was the son of God. The question I posed to you is why don't you agree with Mathew? Jesus never said anything about Korea or Rev. Moon by the way. How does my use of his own words which vindicates my position not stand?
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 so you believe somethings that matthew said, because he testifies about jesus. actually the bible has many references to where he will come from one of which is the 'east' meaning oriental.
All of what you state is your opinion therefor it doesn't stand as evidence
@cumacumachameleon 1.Um it became the Holy Roman Empire which would basically rule the western world in various forms up until 17th century. Yeah, God must have been really pissed. 2. So your admitting rev. Moon is evil and our welcoming this evil into the world, wow I think I win. Obviously "the world" does not act as a single unite so you must be implying there are more evil people on this earth than good, you just admitted Rev. Moon is evil do you think it might be a circular relationship?
@cumacumachameleon A. I'm not a Christian so nope don’t believe everything Jesus said B. Jesus never said anything about ruling the world with an iron fist killing everyone in his way so your comparison is simply ridicules. If Mathew said don't follow cult leaders would you believe that? Well actually he did "15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves." - Matthew 7:15
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 your words are simply ridiculous " iron fist killing everyone in his way" but rev moon isnt doing that. your use of quotes is justified by an opinion so doesnt stand. matthew did say that but your opinion is that it applies to rev moon. you also contradict your self. you quote the bible and yet your not a christian. your either believe or you dont
@Loew01 I am reading his words and they sound anything but peaceful and loving, you can't see through the crap that's drilled into your head. Please explain how any of the quotes that I just posted are loving and peaceful. You can call it whatever you want, but I don't need any more proof than the man’s own twisted words and ideology. Imagine yourself fifty years from now do you honestly see yourself worshiping a now long forgotten and dead Moon and his very imperfect family members?
@Loew01 Their characters on ATHF, look up Mooninite I’d post a link but it won’t let me. I am just going by Moon's own words, the world he describes will thankfully never come to pass, but it still scares the shit out me not to mention I also feel kind of sorry for you. No, I don’t think all Republicans are fascists, but your messiah sure sounds like one and he also owns the Washington Times a conservative rag. "The whole world is in my hand, and I will conquer and subjugate the world." - Moon
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 The way you are using Rev. Moon's words are called quote mining. Yes, Rev. Moon makes bold statements, but I don't see you quoting his inspiring or educational quotes, or giving the context to the quotes you are using.
Everyone eventually dies, so Rev. Moon's point is that people who oppose us will die is not a literal threat, but a spiritual warning that the path to life is through him. This is the same claim that Jesus made when he said 'I am the way, truth, and light
@cumacumachameleon “The time will come, without my seeking it, that my words will almost serve as law. If I ask a certain thing, it will be done. If I don't want something, it will not be done. Am I foolish and insignificant or am I great?" – Moon
"The whole world is in my hand, and I will conquer and subjugate the world.- Moon
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 if this was jesus saying those exact same things you would respect it because he is the king of kings. so in our eyes its no different. i think a man who loves all humanity derserves that title. he is great; hes a great man......but i guess you dont know anything about his life do you.......blindly accusing. could you love a man who tried to kill you???????????
@cumacumachameleon I am just going by Moon's own words, “So from this time of peak every people or every organization that goes against the Unification Church will gradually come down or drastically come down and die. Many people will die - those who go against our movement". – Moon
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 I think Chameleon's point is that for those who actually live and work within the unification church it is obvious that our organization is not run as a dictatorship. There is no tyranny. Rev. Moon doesn't hold on to power or abuse his power. He works incredibly hard, and if you read ALL of his words and his theology, you can realize that there is a deep love and truth motivating him, and it is what motivates each of us as well.
@Loew01 Well you could Google ATHF or are members of your cult only allowed certain privileges online? Conan is just a diluted as you it figures that he’s a Republican, emulating your fascist leader apparently. Why do you want to live in a tyrannical dictatorship run by the con man Moon?
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 have you ever experienced his dictatorship. or let me guess. you're blindly accusing. didnt the jews and the romans do that to jesus...........can you see the irony. i guess not since your looking in the clouds waiting for something special
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 LOL. I did Google ATHF, but I only got Aqua Teen Hunger Force. You were referring to that? If so, that's kind of sad. Back to your accusations: there is no tyrannical dictatorship run by Rev. Moon. He's about as honest and sincere as a person can get. I am free to live how I want, and there is nothing fascist about his thinking or ideology. Last Q: are you implying that all Republicans are fascist? Man... if so, you have some serious issues.
I have decided that rather than calling members of this terrifyingly evil cult Moonies they will now be known as Mooninites to properly reflect their insanity and delusions à la ATHF
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 Hmm... I have been a bit too busy to answer lately, but want to thank Conan for stepping in. Not sure what ATHF is, but what you call us is kind of irrelevant. I think 'Moonie' originates from Moonite, so it's a lame attempt at being insulting.
As far as Rev. Moon's quotes, in the context of our belief that he is the Messiah, they make perfect sense.
if I become annoyed when a group of people, like I said, piggyback Christian theology and Christ's teaching and twist it into something it is not. I am familiar enough with the "Divine" Principle to know that it makes no sense in correlation with the teaching of Christ and scripture(see my earlier rock solid points in CAPITALS,) which you have yet to refute. I do not need to know everything about this man to refute the basic pillars of his philosophy. You should learn up in metaphysics, friend.
@CMG1210900 We know we are not compatible with Christian theology. The reason for that is that Christian theology is made up by men... and that is why is lacks any form of scientific logic and is so full of contradictions. For example, if the trinity was such an important part of scripture, why did Jesus never mention it? Also, why did John the Baptist contradict Jesus about being the returning Elijah?
I made a video about how our beliefs differ from Christianity. We're not Christian.
@Loew01- Trying to understand God and his mysteries through "scientific logic," while admirable, is a lost cause. The book of Ecclesiastes illustrates this quite beautifully. Moreover, the Holy Spirit is mentioned directly and indirectly by Jesus in the Bible. The Holy Spirit is also mentioned many, many, many times in the Old Testament... Jesus is the fulfillment of the Old Testament." Most of the time "He" is mentioned as "God"(because the Holy Spirit IS God.")
He has existed FOR ALL ETERNITY. Your weird schizo friend, Sun Myung Moon, on the other hand, has a FINITE existence because he is not THE FATHER OR THE SON OR THE HOLY SPIRIT!!! The Messiah can ONLY be Christ because ONLY Christ is omnipresent and ETERNAL. You are thick headed, and possess just about as much brains and critical thinking skills as your false prophet, so have fun being led off a cliff! Your weird religion is surely NOT compatible with the teachings of Christ. Pathetic sheep.
@CMG1210900 Ok, here's a simple question... if faithful Christians will live forever in Heaven after the judgment day, doesn't that make them eternal? Yes or No? If so, you've just contradicted yourself. Also, if all of us non-Christians (since only Christians go to Heaven) will live forever in hell, doesn't that also make the rest of humanity eternal?
hard to cover it up. Jesus Christ. Even more painfully obvious and embarrassing to you, and your ridiculous friends who piggyback Christian theology, yet know nothing about it, is the fact that when the Messiah does return to earth, that will be THE END OF HUMANITY, AKA JUDGEMENT DAY. Jesus Christ is the Messiah who will come to judge the (un)righteous, obviously. To deny that is to literally deny the most central tenet of Christ's own teaching, THE HOLY TRINITY. Jesus is the ONLY saviour and
@CMG1210900 Again, you claim to know the most central tenet of Christ's teachings, yet how do you know? Because it is written in a book that you claim is direct from God without flaw? How do you know the book is without flaws or comes directly from God? Because it says so in the book? Very good, you have just defined circular logic.... and again, Jesus never mentions his central teaching of the 'trinity'. He never using that word, so if it's so central, why didn't Jesus say it clearly?
@ConanTheRepublican I prefer not to live in a world "conquered and subjugated" by a con man, I can't wait till he dies and all you cult members will have to accept it was all one big lie. His helicopter crashed, need I say more?
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 Mk 15:30 And they that passed by railed on him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ah, thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, 30 Save thyself, and come down from the cross. 31 Likewise also the chief priests mocking said among themselves with the scribes, He saved others; himself he cannot save. Let Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him reviled him. And Lk 23:37-9
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 You are proof that history NEVER changes, and the old will ALWAYS resist the new. Jesus would have died a natural death of old age. Just because He was the Messiah doesn't mean he'd live forever. And, you can imagine, can't you, if the Jerusalem Post was around 2k ago, how THEY would have viewed, and written about Jesus, right? Yes, I bet you can. And, btw, not only did Rev. and Mrs. Moon survive the helo crash, EVERYONE onboard did, too.
They were DESTROYED! What happened to Israel just 40 years after THEY conspired WITH the Romans to kill Jesus? Titus and Roman legions brought Jerusalem to the GROUND, just as Jesus predicted it would happen. Jesus didn't do it. Christians didn't do it. TIME and doing the WRONG THING (killing Jesus) did it all by itself.
So from this time of peak every people or every organization that goes against the Unification Church will gradually come down or drastically come down and die. Many people will die - those who go against our movement. - Moon
If anyone think Moon is perfect and has a perfect family as he claims, look at some of his children. His eldest son was a drug addict, womaniser and wife batterer and she divorced him. One of his daughters have left the religious group and is now denouncing the church.
Henrydec 4 months ago
@Henrydec This is a common misconception about our teachings. Rev. Moon doesn't claim his family is perfect. In fact, if someone truly understands our theology, it is obvious that they are not perfect. It is their position and responsibility that earns them the title of 'True Family', but it is something that is still 'a work in progress'.
Loew01 4 months ago
@Loew01
Henrydec 4 months ago
@Henrydec If you were taught that in a workshop, you were taught incorrectly. Have you read the Divine Principle? The book was written in the early 1950s, and clearly sets out the difference between being born without original sin and perfection. The church has never changed it's stance, but it is true that many of our early members were naive about the True children, and assumed that the children would be saints... All the true children have at least the same potential to sin as Adam and Eve.
Loew01 4 months ago

Henrydec 4 months ago
@Henrydec Hello Henry. Just want to point out that my parents wen through that whole process you are talking about, and it made them happier and better people. They weren't tricked into it either.. It's an all volunteer program, and a lot of people kept their bank accounts and properties. Most gave out of their sincere desire to help something they believed in. Now many of our families are quite successful, especially the ones who were married as complete strangers...
Loew01 4 months ago
@Loew01
Henrydec 4 months ago
@Henrydec Fair enough on this point. We believe in sacrifice and working hard, and we believe it improves quality of life. Sunday mornings are 5am, and now it's not just Sundays but everyday. Fundraising is now around 8hours, 10-12 on weekends. It's a training program, so about 2 yrs. Rev. Moon is always there to lead it. Marrying a stranger isn't as bad as people may think, since very few people in the modern world have figured out how to have a successful marriage.

Loew01 7 months ago
Just read Matthew 24:23-24 and think about that for a bit.
Sounds familiar!
missionarymayn 8 months ago
@missionarymayn Read it many times... and thought about it a lot. At the end of the day, the Christian view of the Bible as a whole is kinda ignorant and doesn't make sense. Especially not compared to the explanation of the Divine Principle and the teachings of Rev. Moon. That's just my honest opinion...

Jesus must really love wealthy people then.
qigong1001 10 months ago
@qigong1001 Jesus loves all people, and if possible, would like all people to be wealthy, both in body (material wealth) and spirit (spiritual wealth).
Loew01 10 months ago
@Loew01 I would like the same thing. Am I Jesus? I'll talk to you later...I'll watch your videos first to be fair.
qigong1001 10 months ago
@Loew01 I've watched some more of your vids. And read some of Moon's writings. And I still don't see the appeal. If Jesus wants everyone to be wealthy in body and spirit, then what is he waiting for? And I'd like to ask again: I love all people and want everyone to be materially wealthy...so am I jesus? Am I a prophet, messiah? (I'm not trying to de-convert you...I know how much you love people trying to do that...this is simply for stimulation of new ideas thru debate).
qigong1001 10 months ago
@qigong1001 "If Jesus wants everyone to be wealthy in body and spirit, then what is he waiting for?" This is a good question, but it is essentially the same question as 'if God is good, why is their evil in the world'? I try to answer this a bit in Video 7 about God. The simple answer is that neither Jesus nor God can force people to do anything. Poverty is a side-product of evil, which is because people are separated from God. Only people can solve this problem...
Loew01 10 months ago
@Loew01 And poverty is not simply an evil issue. Theoretically, the only way "people can solve this problem" is by fairly distributing to everyone, initally at least (so as not to fall in the communist trap) I'm sure, given Moon's political involvements, that he is not a fan of that idea. So we have a dilemma. If he is the messiah and wants everyone to have wealth, then it must start with the messiah. He must set the example by distributing as much as possible. But we don't see that.
qigong1001 10 months ago
@qigong1001 Actually, you misjudge Rev. Moon. He IS a fan of equal distribution, something the Principle takes time to lay out in detail. You might think Rev. Moon is wealthy, but what does he own? Everything that is bought is actually owned by the church, and he doesn't abuse his 'comforts'. There is not a person in the world that devotes as much time and money to the public cause, and Rev. Moon does not use his supposed 'wealth' to live in luxury.
Loew01 10 months ago
@qigong1001 to elaborate on this point, everything he has could be taken away from him by a board of directors and is shared by our entire church community. His mansion in NY? Every day he is there it is filled with 100s of members. Every where he goes, he is never alone, never at peace. Morning to night he is investing his time and money to help generate solutions to the various and complex problems of the world. You are right that the Messiah must set the example, but that is what he is doing.
Loew01 10 months ago
@Loew01 We both know, that he has way more than just a mansion in new york. And many religions use the "church" as a loophole to owing taxes, etc. As for who is devoting the most time and money to public cause...I don't know. Its a claim that I've heard numerous times from friends about their religions. Excluding corporations, we can easily exclude Moon as the most charitable. Ofcourse, I hope you are not counting his political contributions? It just doesn't fit.
qigong1001 10 months ago
@Loew01 By the way, the money is coming from fundraisers, and member "donations"; as well as from moon's side businesses. so, really you guys are doing all the hard grunt work...not moon.
qigong1001 10 months ago
@qigong1001 I actually don't like people trying to de-convert me. I really like "stimulation of new ideas thru debate", so I think we're both on the same page ;) Of course wealth doesn't make someone the Messiah. the reason Rev. Moon is the Messiah is because he has brought a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of God's nature, something necessary to eradicate the evil in this world. He could do this because of a direct personal relationship with God.
Loew01 10 months ago
@Loew01 Part 1 Well, we have no way to evaluate god's nature...so we can't say if Moon is accurate. His "way" may work for some, but not for others. There are many conceptions of a higher power and it all boils down to faith. My religious friends will never argue on the grounds of evidence, but faith. So that is an impass, don't you think?
qigong1001 10 months ago
@qigong1001 Actually, something that is different in our faith is that we believe we do not need faith to related with God. If God is real, then faith should not be necessary, since the goal would be to converse directly with God. This is difficult to do, and probably not something most people will be capable of achieving in their lifetimes, but ultimately possible. We don't have 'faith' that our family members exist, because we know thru our relationships with them. So it should be with God...
Loew01 10 months ago
@Loew01 "We do not need faith to relate with god.If god is real, then..." But thats where the faith part comes in. If he is real. We don't know what god is or its nature or even if it is real. We know our families exist, not because of our relationships, but because we can see, feel, hear, touch, and more accurately scientifically measure them in some way. One may argue of an imaginary friend and talk of his relationship with him as if it felt very real; yet that does imply any sort of reality.

it is said that the divine principle is the ultimate truth and the final truth, am i right? why a revise version which is called ORIGINAL DIVINE PRINCIPLE come out now a day, does that mean that the first DP is not the ultimate one. does it mean that in the future it will be revise again and again depending on human interest?
junflores30000 11 months ago
@junflores30000 One could say that Moonie values are more to the bible of the new testament about the message of Jesus than the born-again Christians.
But, Moonies tend to me more open minded and according to my personal survey, moonies prefer abstinence-plus on the sex education part.
However, all religions make baseless claims without providing admissible evidence.
"That which can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence."
- Christopher Hitchens
espakor 10 months ago
@espakor I would just add that it is not just religions that make baseless claims. It is something that all people tend to do, because the stark reality of our existence is that there is not enough evidence to come to any solid conclusions. We must all make choices based on assumptions in order to live any kind of meaningful life...
Loew01 10 months ago
@junflores30000 (Sorry for the delay) I like your question because it is so typically Japanese... you start by saying 'it is said'. By whom? DP itself clearly points out that there is more knowledge that must be found, and ultimately all religious texts are merely guide books, because the truth can only be discovered personally by each person when they directly meet God. There can never be an "ultimate & final" truth in written words. The ODP is not really different, btw. More of an upgrade ;)

@Loew01 MMMMMMM,not satisfied. in your country perhaps you can think free ,move free and talk free, but here in asia southeast and far east, that is not the situation here, you can ask those missionaries who came here before. for me we are like slaves the more we go deeper , the more our hand and mouth and eyes are tied together. difficult to say , but its true. cant DONATE, we are ask to go out of the church membership. we just hang on and make our face thick in order not to be kick out.
junflores30000 7 months ago
@junflores30000 I'm not sure which country you are living in, but if you are getting kicked out because you are not donating, then your leaders don't understand the principle. Father never kicked anyone out of the church.
Loew01 7 months ago
@junflores30000

@Loew01 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth [it]. Revelation 2:17
MrQwertyqwerty12345 1 year ago
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 Again, your interpretation seems a lot more vague and abstract. The problem with this verse is that it can be seen as general ("him that overcometh" could refer to a multitude of people, or could refer to just one person). Rev. Moon did have a experience with Jesus, who handed him his mission directly. There is no deception involved in this, since if you believe that Paul could meet Jesus on the road to Damascus, then such a thing is surely possible.
Loew01 11 months ago
@Loew01 I don't what the Jew's would have done, neither do you. There is no real Messiah is here to say Moon is or isn’t the second coming, just logic and reason. Let me just say I find it hilarious that you rest your entire religion on a quote that you have misinterpreted and can't even cite. If you actually want to see how badly you have done this I'll post it for you.
MrQwertyqwerty12345 1 year ago
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 You are right, we have logic and reason, which is why we can assume that the Jews would not have killed Jesus if they believed he was the Messiah they were waiting for... that's logical. Why kill the person you are waiting to meet? I didn't 'misinterpret' the verse, and I could have cited if you had asked. Rev. 3:12 is similar, but to be clear, our "entire religion" doesn't rest on Bible quotes. We use them to support our theology, but the Bible is not the end all and be all
Loew01 11 months ago
@Loew01 I think if Jesus couldn’t convince them already I doubt a remark from John the Baptist would have changed much, assuming it would make all Jews turn to Christ comes from a lack of logic and reason. Yes, you did it refers to every person taking Jesus into their heart, not rev. Moon getting his job. Well I was asking for a Bible quote several times and you still haven't produced one. Continued …
MrQwertyqwerty12345 11 months ago
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 Actually, John the Baptist was much more respected than Jesus at the time. It is actually a very reasonable assumption, considering that people were wondering if John the Baptist was the Christ (John 1:19-24). Also, how do you interpret Jesus giving a name to "him that overcomes, with a new name only they will know" as taking Jesus into their heart? That's the problem with interpretations: they are all quite subjective.
Loew01 11 months ago
@Loew01 Your right, there would have been no more Jews if that had happened, the entire religion would have ceased and they would all be worshiping emperor Moon now like they should. Well according to scholars he being anyone who follows Christ and the tenets of Christianity will receive the spirit only they will know and understand. How do you get Rev. Moon is the messiah from it? I think my interpretation is much more common than yours, in fact I know it is.
MrQwertyqwerty12345 11 months ago
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 There would be no more Jews if what had happened? (sorry, YouTube should allow people see what is being replied to, i have no idea what you are referring to...). You should know that something being more common or more widely believe doesn't make it true or false. Our view of Rev. Moon being the Messiah is based on a wide variety of reasons, some of them explanations of the Bible, some of them Rev. Moon's own actions and words.
Loew01 11 months ago
@Loew01 If John the Baptist said he was Elijah; I still fail to see how this connects to Moon being the Messiah. A wide variety, really? I'm confused as I have asked for anything in the Bible that actually directly references Moon as you see him as the messiah, all you have provided is a half quote that was utterly misinterpreted, also are these actions like stealing millions from Japanese widows, tax evasion and brain washing? I have posted his words and they speak of a totalitarian dystopia.
MrQwertyqwerty12345 11 months ago

Loew01 11 months ago
@Loew01 Unfortunately you don’t get to butcher the tenets of Christianity, then just pretend it’s a new religion it’s a cult that will die along with Moon. Is this because it doesn’t mention Moon so he had to write the Divine Principles to make himself seem holy? When you clearly misinterpret its teaching to justify your worship of Moon I would consider that mocking, not to mention paying lip service to it while really believing and following a man that is completely contrary to it.
MrQwertyqwerty12345 11 months ago
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 Look, it wouldn't make ANY sense for the Bible to have mentioned Moon by name, just like the Jewish prophecies neither mentioned Jesus or John the Baptist by name... that argument is really the epitome of ignorance. Also, in my seventh video I explain that God does not know the future, which is why he would not give specific names in his prophecies. The Principle does not try to make Rev. Moon look holy. It just explains the Bible in a way that makes sense.
Loew01 11 months ago
@Loew01 I'm not even asking for Moon by name, just something about a new messiah that is also an Asian con man, but it is fun seeing struggle to find something that wasn't written by your cult leader. Why do you feel you need Moon's interpretation? Wouldn’t it be smart to read the book without his influence? You have to admit the man has something to gain from making you believe he’s the messiah, people have been doing the same thing forever and have all been liars what makes Moon special?
MrQwertyqwerty12345 11 months ago

@cumacumachameleon It’s funny how the Agnostic uses facts and Bible references to support his opinion while the Moonie can do neither
MrQwertyqwerty12345 1 year ago
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 So far I haven't seen many facts (many one or two), lots of quote mining, plenty of ad hominem, with a good bit of Bible bashing thrown in, although ironically you seem to use the Bible while not really believing in it, which is something I find quite strange... I actually asked a question to show you one of our core beliefs about the Bible and how it actually supports our understanding of the 2nd Coming. your answer to this question is that maybe Jesus wasn't the Messiah...
Loew01 1 year ago
@Loew01 I've used facts about Rev. Moon's business dealings, his brainwashing techniques for his followers (clearly displayed on this page), yes, his quotes which prove he's evil, facts about his supposedly perfect family which clearly isn’t, oh yeah his helicopter crash (Jesus wouldn’t have let donkey crash), historical facts, etc. I'll admit the Bible condemns me to, but I don't pretend to believe in it's the word of God, you’re the one following a false prophet according to it.
MrQwertyqwerty12345 1 year ago
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 how many times do we have to tell you ....rev moon doesnt claim to have a perfect family. if my dad was perfect i wouldnt want him to run my life just so i could be perfect. and actually you havent given any facts about his brainwashing
cumacumachameleon 1 year ago
@cumacumachameleon Answer this question, how can Moon be perfect without being able to raise his kids perfectly? Jesus is celibate why isn't Moon even going so far as to have extra-marital affairs? That doesn’t sound very Christ like to me. So all those former members claiming the use of “love Bombing” and other indoctrination techniques are just lying?
MrQwertyqwerty12345 1 year ago
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 One problem with this question is your concept of perfect, but to answer it directly, there are a lot of factor's to raising a family and Rev. Moon was not the sole influence on his children. The children lived and interacted with many people, and each of them have an influence, good and bad, on them. At the end of the day, the responsibility lies with the children. Jesus was meant to marry and have children, and we view his death as one of the greatest tragedies in history
Loew01 1 year ago
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 Just to clarify our view on the Bible: we don't see it as being 100% accurate. It was written by people, and people make mistakes, even if they are inspired by God. The Bible has truth and is incredibly valuable in understanding God's will and history, but it was written to a certain audience at a certain time for a certain purpose, and to be perfectly frank, it is quite outdated.
Loew01 1 year ago
To the religious leaders who rejected Jesus, John the Baptist did not perform this function.

cumacumachameleon 1 year ago
@cumacumachameleon My pleasure I will ask the same question I have posed several times. Where in the Bible is the quote about Rev. Moon? I doubt you'll answer as out of all the people I’ve been arguing with here you are the least intelligent and have refused to answer a single question I previously asked.
MrQwertyqwerty12345 1 year ago
There is absolutely no quote in the Bible that would mention Rev. Moon. That is because Rev. Moon's birth was not predestined. The Messiah could have come at a different time and in a different age if certain conditions had been met. That is why all Biblical predictions by their very nature have to be vague and/or symbolic. Revelations does speak about Jesus giving the person who overcomes a rock with a new name known only to himself. We interpret this to be the passing on of Jesus' mission.
Loew01 1 year ago
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 Since you believe that people can follow Christ, but it seems you don't believe he was the Messiah, then you probably believe he wasn't born of a virgin and was just some kind of inspirational speaker. If that is the case, Matthew, Peter, Paul and Christian theology have condemned you as well, since only those, who believe in Christ as the Messiah can go to heaven, according to the Bible,. If you're using the Bible as your standard of judgment, we're both equally doomed :P
Loew01 1 year ago
@Loew01Theres a pretty simple answer, Jesus wasn’t the Messiah and neither is Moon. Have you ever considered that?
MrQwertyqwerty12345 1 year ago
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 this is a lost battle if you think that then. goodbye
cumacumachameleon 1 year ago
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 Of course I have considered that. If so, then the Bible doesn't have any real value, so I don't get why you are quoting it?? If Jesus wasn't the messiah, then the Bible is a made up story by a bunch of delusional people in Israel 2000 years ago. That's definitely an option I've considered, but I decided that the Bible makes enough sense and is inspiring enough to be from God, is not 100% absolute literal truth.
Loew01 1 year ago
@cumacumachameleon Yeah I know what you’re crazy cult preaches, sorry if worded it weirdly. Where is this in The Bible? I repeat nowhere! Mathew, Paul and Peter have all condemned you and Moon, something to think about.
MrQwertyqwerty12345 1 year ago
@cumacumachameleon Yep, that's what a Moonie would say, that wouldn’t have anything to do with Rev. Moon's own personal hatred of Communism since being born in N. Korea? No, this is about false prophets in the name of God, read it correctly "9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed." Where is Rev. Moon being Jesus or Adam being Jesus in The Bible? Oh yeah it's not, it's one or the other.

@MrQwertyqwerty12345 adam > jesus > rev moon

@MrQwertyqwerty12345 wow you have too much time on your hands. the false ideology the bible warns was communism.

cumacumachameleon 1 year ago
1 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. 2 And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3 By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.2 Peter 2:1-3
MrQwertyqwerty12345 1 year ago
@cumacumachameleon I do think for myself and do independent re-search, do you have the stones and the intellect to seek out information that might challenge your view that that Moon is Jesus? What would it take for you to realize it was all a lie? Because I can probably find you a good example as I'm sure your perceptual bias from the brainwashing is almost impossible to overcome.
MrQwertyqwerty12345 1 year ago
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 As do we. First of all, we don't believe Moon IS Jesus. We believe he has inherited the mission of Jesus as the Messiah. To help us see that it is all actually a lie, why not answer of our theological questions: If Jesus was the Messiah, then who was the prophet Elijah that was supposed to come before him? Jesus said it was John the Baptist, yet earlier John denied that he was the Elijah. Later, John even doubted Jesus. Was John the Elijah, and if so, why did he deny it?
Loew01 1 year ago
@Loew01 Really, where’s the Bible quote about Rev. Moon? If you want the standard Christian answer I’ll give it to you, A. Judaism has no reincarnation (eastern philosophy) only resurrection. B. “the Bible is quite clear that John the Baptist is given this designation because he came in the “spirit and power of Elijah” (Luke 1:17), not because he was Elijah in a literal sense.
MrQwertyqwerty12345 1 year ago
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 Your explanation of the Biblical view on John is very accurate, and that is our view on Rev. Moon being the 2nd coming of Christ. He is not Jesus in a literal sense, but he comes in the 'spirit and power of Elijah'. What you said about only those who already believe in Jesus as Lord accepting that John the Baptist was Elijah is exactly the problem... What if John has accepted himself that he was Elijah? Would the Jewish leadership have then accepted Jesus as Lord?
Loew01 1 year ago
@cumacumachameleon 1. Wrong, he explicitly threatens death. 2. Moon doesn’t have a perfect family? How can Moon be perfect (which he obviously isn’t) if he can't raise his children perfectly? Nothing wrong with owning a business, but it is less business than a front group for your evil cult to help forward along your twisted ideology kind of like Murdoch and Fox News. 4. Any money to the Unification Church? Where do you think he gets that money to be a "business owner" as you put it?
MrQwertyqwerty12345 1 year ago
@MrQwertyqwerty12345 1. Again, you are taking his quotes out of context. We have a very clear view of life and death, and his speech was relating to spiritual death. By the way, since you like to use quotes, do you have the references to those verse so I can find the actual context? 2. Common misconception about Moon's family: we don't believe they are perfect. The fact you are confused on this point shows your utter ignorance of our belief system. Prejudiced by your bias, no doubt.

@cumacumachameleon I agree with Mathew, that doesn’t mean I have to believe Jesus was the son of God. The question I posed to you is why don't you agree with Mathew? @MrQwertyqwerty12345 so you believe somethings that matthew said, because he testifies about jesus. actually the bible has many references to where he will come from one of which is the 'east' meaning oriental.

This is the same claim that Jesus made when he said 'I am the way, truth, and light

if I become annoyed when a group of people, like I said, piggyback Christian theology and Christ's teaching and twist it into something it is not.
CMG1210900 1 year ago
@CMG1210900 so why are you so sure that rev. moon is twisting the bible
cumacumachameleon 1 year ago
@CMG1210900 We know we are not compatible with Christian theology. The reason for that is that Christian theology is made up by men... and that is why is lacks any form of scientific logic and is so full of contradictions. For example, if the trinity was such an important part of scripture, why did Jesus never mention it? Also, why did John the Baptist contradict Jesus about being the returning Elijah?
I made a video about how our beliefs differ from Christianity. We're not Christian.
Loew01 1 year ago
@Loew01- Trying to understand God and his mysteries through "scientific logic," while admirable, is a lost cause. The book of Ecclesiastes illustrates this quite beautifully. Moreover, the Holy Spirit is mentioned directly and indirectly by Jesus in the Bible. The Holy Spirit is also mentioned many, many, many times in the Old Testament... Jesus is the fulfillment of the Old Testament." Most of the time "He" is mentioned as "God"(because the Holy Spirit IS God.")
CMG1210900 1 year ago
He has existed FOR ALL ETERNITY. Your weird schizo friend, Sun Myung Moon, on the other hand, has a FINITE existence because he is not THE FATHER OR THE SON OR THE HOLY SPIRIT!!! The Messiah can ONLY be Christ because ONLY Christ is omnipresent and ETERNAL. You are thick headed, and possess just about as much brains and critical thinking skills as your false prophet, so have fun being led off a cliff! Your weird religion is surely NOT compatible with the teachings of Christ. Pathetic sheep.
CMG1210900 1 year ago
@CMG1210900 Ok, here's a simple question... if faithful Christians will live forever in Heaven after the judgment day, doesn't that make them eternal? Yes or No? If so, you've just contradicted yourself. Also, if all of us non-Christians (since only Christians go to Heaven) will live forever in hell, doesn't that also make the rest of humanity eternal?
Loew01 1 year ago
@Loew01- No. We as humans do not exist outside of the boundaries of space and time, and have a beginning(conception.) There is no contradiction.
CMG1210900 1 year ago
hard to cover it up. Jesus is the ONLY saviour and
CMG1210900 1 year ago
@CMG1210900 Again, you claim to know the most central tenet of Christ's teachings, yet how do you know? Because it is written in a book that you claim is direct from God without flaw? How do you know the book is without flaws or comes directly from God? Because it says so in the book? Very good, you have just defined circular logic.... and again, Jesus never mentions his central teaching of the 'trinity'. He never using that word, so if it's so central, why didn't Jesus say it clearly?

Yes, I bet you can. And, btw, not only did Rev. and Mrs. Moon survive the helo crash, EVERYONE onboard did, too.

They were DESTROYED! What happened to Israel just 40 years after THEY conspired WITH the Romans to kill Jesus? Titus and Roman legions brought Jerusalem to the GROUND, just as Jesus predicted it would happen. Jesus didn't do it. Christians didn't do it. TIME and doing the WRONG THING (killing Jesus) did it all by itself.

The time has come when the whole world must be concerned about me. From now on, American Christianity must follow me.
The true sovereign is not the American president nor the English king, but the Lord of the Second Advent.
The whole world is in my hand, and I will conquer and subjugate the world.

So from this time of peak every people or every organization that goes against the Unification Church will gradually come down or drastically come down and die. Many people will die - those who go against our movement. - Moon
