Well... A good story... But elephants are VERY careful about what they step on! That's where the myth about mice scaring elephants come from. It's very simple, the elephant don't want to step on the mouse! And another thing, elephants have female leaders.. Not male leaders..

Mythbusters actually showed an elephant changing course to avoid a confrontation with a mouse, I guess they are still keeping the pact.

@movadoband Yeah, the reason for this is that Elephants don't want to step on things. The skin under their feet are so flexible and hard that they can step on a nail without noticing it, but they don't want to. They sort of know that they can hurt stuff by stepping on it, and will try to avoid it if they can.
