i know how it is to lose a companion suddenly while trying to save them, im sure the vet did all they could (my PDSA did). hes out of all pain and suffering now, and playing by the rainbow bridge. dont give in to the pain my friend, hes waiting and watching over you.
I am soo sorry for the loss of your buddy George.Any advice on how to handle the loss of your best friend,I just had to put my boxer down on 11/20 and it is killing me inside, she is all I can think about.
@boxerman3 Only advice i can give is, the no 1 best healer is time. If feels like it will never go away but it does eventually. I also found a bit of a tidy up helped me. Remove all toys he played with, removes his sleeping basket and place something else there etc. Cause otherwise u just wake in the morning, see his empty basket or toys and get upset again. It will take a few months at least.
Thank you for all the comments, sadly, the powers that be find it nessary to take away our best, most loyal friends, if only more people that we meet in everyday life were more like boxers or anydog to be fair. Still miss him like crazy nearly a year after his death, feels like yesterday :(
Sadly we had to have our four legged clown Big Saft George put to sleep last week aged 10 1/2 years but your videos brought a tear and a laugh to my face, He gave us nothing but joy, I really miss him, I know exactly how you feel mate, the saddest day of my life..
Gorgeous. My sister's boxer also got sick suddenly. She & her husband are drs & thought it would pass but he got worse and the vet didnt find anything. He coudlnt breathe and she noticed lesions on his leg similar to humans with cancer. We learned Boxers are prone to certain cancers including stomach cancer. They had to eventually put him to sleep. He was only 14 mths old. we miss him even years later. Keep George in your memory because a good dog like that should never be forgotten.
I am sorry for the loss of your boxer. They are great dogs. I lost my boxer last August. I have a tribute video as well if you would like to check it out.
im so sorry , i know what its like , but it has to happen once in a dogs life , we cant stop it . if i could avoid my dog dieing i would put my life for my dog ....
