THE 1ST POLYNESIANS WHO MADE IT TO THE TOP 10, IN MY YOUTH IN THE 1980's..THEY WERE THE 'BOMB' AND THEIR MUSIC STILL LIVES ON. THE BEST MEMRIES WITH MY 1ST LOVE..BACK TO THE SUMMER OF 1985...WITH 21 LOST YEARS BETWEEN US..WE FINALLY FOUND EACHOTHER AGAIN, EACH UNDER DIFFERENT CIRCUMSTANCES, but WITH THE 'SAME LOVE'. THIS WAS OUR CHANCE TO 'MAKE IT REAL' .NOW WE ARE MARRIED & WE WANA GROW OLD TOGETHER..TRUE LOVE EXISTS... GOD IS GOOD! WILL ALWAYS ENJOY THE MUSIC......IT'S A POLY THANGG!!
The Jets were cool it seems for about 3 years then they got out of the classic 80's sound (like everyone else) but obviously this later sound was not their forte which is why they fizzled away. Really it seems for a few years there was no direction in pop music thanks to alternative/grunge and hard rap. Then unfortunately pop music resurfaced to the stupid shit it is today, trying to be like the cool alternative and rap artists with some slutty slang to boot. No one knows how to be themselves.
@michaelvj50 hay go on amazon.co and look them up and they have an up to date cd out 2 is not there eddie and eugene but he was allways missing n,e,way but the have an new family member enjoy!!!
so nice to read these comments. I was in San Diego, CA. And so many DJ'S would just run a few of the Jets jams together and the dance floor would swarm with people. There grooves were so organized and well orchestrated. I wonder what they are doing> i heard they went christian. god bless them. I would definitely support them for a concert.
other flashback 1987 hits: Debbie Gibson, George Michael's I want your sex, Madonna's Spanish Lulaby, Paul Lekakis-Boom..boom..boom let's go back to my room, Samantha Fox naughty girls need love etc.
thejets4ever...You are the bomb!!! Reminds me of my 9th grade year....High School Football....Quick stops to the Fast Food Joint.....Top of the Pops(LA and London)....and Soul Train. Keep up the good work thejets4ever!!!!!!

1980 - 1987 to me the best years in pop. This is what defines happy pop music.
