Hope your baby girl is doing good..I know exactly what your going thru ..my daughter had these same exact seizures..and your right about the gtube..my girl got one when she was 1 yrs old..she's 8yrs old now doctors couldn't figure out what she had but knew that her corpus in the brain was abnormally thin ..she is blind she can see somewhat bright lights, she has cerebral palsy...its been a roller coaster but we have faith..sending prayers your way..
wow - all the people out there making nasty comments about how the baby is being fed and about her seizures .. need to READ the freaking description. Holy crap.
my son is 2 months old he does the same thing I thought it a little odd but wanted to look it up on the internet to see if others babies do it too. up untill now I thought it was normal but after watching this I will speak to my pediatrian, thank you for posting this video.
hi have u tried the ketogenic diet for your child..it works..i'.m a caregiver for a child just like yours she just turned 3 and is going off the diet...check it out on u tube..theres a movie about it too.
you idiots have no idea what a seizure is or feels like...coming from a boy that gets photosensitive seizures while playing intensive video games, take it from me. U DON'T KNOW SHEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who are you talking to? This is a sweet baby and her video page doesnt deserve your talk!! Keep your opinions to yourself unless you have something to say. Its ignorant to expect everyone to know what you feel!!! Stop playing video games n go outside and play!!
wow, my grandson might be having seizures too...But I am not seeing it on here...or with him...I have viewed many video's and I am confused...I see normal baby movements...how do you decipher normal movements and seizure activity....I am also...in the healthcare field
READ THE OTHER COMMENTS AND REPLYS FIRST!!!!! she cant swallow unless she is laying down!!! She is severely disabled, Her seizures are fast full body jerks that come out of no where and are gone. Watch closely, Anything else?
It is quite an interesting comment, though one might be able to choke when lying down while eating. Is that a concern when a child who doesn't have a good swallowing reflect can choke quite easily? Please comment to this. Thanks. Sometimes people also do choke while sitting upright, but is it more common when lying down?
She doesnt have the ability to hold the food in her mouth and move it to the back of her mouth. If I didnt feed her like that it would just run right back out of her mouth. She never once choked i just put the food more in her cheek not right in the middle of her mouth. thank you for your comment.
Don't let anyone say anything negative. She clearly is taken care of with love and compassion, and I'm sorry for you and your daughters trials. She is beautiful, and there is a special place in heaven for mother's who go above and beyond to take care of their babies. I'm glad she had a chance to taste food while she was still young as well.
Hi, my 15month old, Zak has CP, cortical visual impairment, GERD, and lots of other things. But he also has a type of epilepsy called west syndrome. This is kind of how it first started. It went from individual jerks to clusters of up to 100 several times a day. I truly hope this is not the same thing. It is easily diagnosed with an EEG, it has a very classic reading. Good luck, shes adorable.
Just wanted to say that I have a sone called Zak too and he is 2 and a half, just felt strange seeing your name there, im known as Zaksmum too. He has nocturnal TCs now but did have drop szs as a baby
I have to feed her laying down because she actually doesn't know how to move her food from the front of her mouth to the back. If shes sitting up at all the food just falls out of her mouth. Most children that have what she has are on feeding tubes. I appreciate the question because some mothers that have difficulty getting a disabled child to eat may try this technique. I just have to make sure she doesnt eat any food with chunks. Dont ever be afraid to ask questions. Thats how people learn.
I do that before going into a tonic-clonic seizure. For me, the jerk is a tic, part of my aura. You know how it feels when you're drifting off to sleep and you suddenly feel you're falling, then you jerk as you wake up. That's sort of how the jerky tics feel to me. I'm surprised that she's eating while this is going on. I'm always afraid to eat when I get twitchy like this.

Does she do that while sleeping? My 2 year old jerks like that the first 30 min. or so after he falls asleep. I think they are seizures.
