noob, it takes way more data to crash big sites like that. all ur doin is maby flicking the server. ur not even putting a dent in it. also in order to ping a server or ip with large amounts of data you have to change ur requests not to time out otherwise ur again only sending small bits of data! This also cannot be done with one computer. you have to do it with many computers.

:D you must set up -w(time to request in miniseconds) for example -w 1000 = wait 1sec for request... I think better is open about 50 cmd and write there: ping -w 1500 -l 1300 -t xxxxxx.com with 1300bytes you are sure that serer give request :) and for down normal server (not google, facebook etc..)you have to need about 1000 computers with this :D

Wow, the people who believe this guy are idiots, google, facebook and many other sites only allow 32 byte packets to be sent via ping, any more than that and they block it, to prevent DDoS. Still, even if you had 1,000 windows computers and issued that ping with the size of 65000 (if they allowed it in the firist place), Google's servers would think they're getting a message.

@Schou89 Actually ping of death used to happen when Windows received a ping with a packet size larger than 65500 bytes. The current Linux ping can send 65507 which was the case back when the ping of death was a serious problem (though then I believe Linux supported 65501 bytes).

Either way though I find it hilarious people think that pinging like that has any affect what so ever.
