  • hello,my name is Marco,my job in italy is nurse,i have taken a degree(laurea triennale),i would have some information for become sonographer(technician)in USA because i haven't understand what type of study i have to make...

  • practice practice practice..lol

  • She looks like shes reading off something.

  • can still pursue this career even though I hate math??? -_- uggh math

  • @JosieWubsJB Go and find out but I think you need it. Perhaps if you take some classes with a good teacher, sometimes I think it's because we've had awful teachers in high school so we develop, me too, a dislike of math and consider it a "tough" subject and in reality perhaps math can be fun.

  • careers like this should take no longer than 2 years

  • @SexxxYBr0wn10 a bachelors is 4 yrs

  • This is unquestionably a position that requires patience and human interaction! I found this video kind of lacking some important information. Here's a great resource about becoming an ultrasound technician and the salary -

    ultrasoundtechnicianguide . net

  • "Intimidating"

  • I have been working at a local hospital but "not" in the medical field but, while working here in Houston, I've gained a lot of interest in this field and even taken a tour of a school I'd like to attend. My issue is the math part. I've seen the assessment test and wow.. After being out of school for so long(20 yrs), it all look so foreign to me. I'm not afraid to give it a shot but I know it won't be easy. I want this so very badly but that math can be pretty inti.

  • yeah in my are philadelphia it's about $62,000 a year....the math she is talking about is college level math which everyone who starts college has to take no matter what..I took it and got a "C" so i'm good not to many programs offer it here though....i wish they did...gotta look outta state.

  • :O It totally depends where u live. At some places u need to graduate as a Diagnostic Radiographer first which is 4 years Hons degree and then u have to study extra 3 years+ on job training as post grad sonography course.

By introducing these 4 years degree programs all those technician titles are thrown out the window!

Now they are known as Medical imaging scientist's as their role is more concerned with informed opinions and research

  • my guidance counselor encouraged me to drop out.

  • @avalanchesoul why?? :(

  • @TottenhamHotSpurs7 i hate math too

  • nice mac

  • 61,000 average salary.

  • it depends on where you live.

  • it's not a technician. it is a technologist. there is a difference.

  • @jessicaanngerardi yeah you ask a technician how the equipment works, they'll have no idea..

  • I want this job really badly!

its something that i know i will enjoy

but who is a specialized vascular sonographer? and if yiu are can you work with pregnant women nd be getting paid as a specialized vascular sonographer?

  • You have to be vascular or OB. OB works with pregnant women and vascular works with individuals with vascular conditions or diseases. Both are great jobs to have.

  • Me too! Cardiovascular isnt as popular I guess but its way more interesting to me. Where are you going to take the program. Im enrolled at tri-c right now, they have alot of pre-reqs so thats what Im doing. Are you in cleveland?

  • Thank you for this information. I am embarking on my journey to become a sonographer and this video was very helpful. I am planning to gain my assoc in applied science degree and then move on to a specialization of the heart in invasive surgery. Do you have any tips?

  • Hi Curlmebella. What type of sonographer do you want to be? I am looking into the Cardiovascular Sonography.

  • Cardiac sonographer is not invasive and therefore would not help you much in embarking upon a specialization in invasive surgery. Cardiac Cath Technologists work in an invasive lab and you would have to go through that college program as well. You would have to pick one or the other. Or try PA school which is a greater choice with better pay.
