  • why at some places it is called Sega Genesis and other Sega Megadrive? what's the Megadrive 2 then? - please help!

  • @LtDanw It's only called the Sega Genesis in the US because of trademark issues so they couldn't call it the Megadrive in the US so they named it Genesis. The Megadrive 2 is nothing more than the redesign of the original Megadrive, just like the Genesis 2 over here. I hope that clears things up. You can google it and see if there's more information on the whole name thing of these consoles.

  • @deadlygroove1 thanks mate! i asked this around and didn't think of googleing.

  • CPU Bison is the biggest cheater. His Bison is teice as fast and jumps twice as far as the normal Bison.

  • This looks and sounds so rough compared to the SNES version.

  • ALEX FU ALEX FU

  • I want Libary Fighter

  • @PhillT1988 I heard Library Fighter is better.

  • @Eternalshadowgamer thank you!

  • Hi all, could anybody tell me what's the name of a game i palyed on my SEGA: It's about kinnda some kids fighting in a pair, meaning 4 peaople fighting. Were diffrent themes like where the walls were electricity, the end you had to fight kinda like a cat or lion or tigre masks fighters, they are strong they kinda fly when tey hit you but if you finish the game like beat them you run on a long field :D Thank you for your help :D If someone knows please :D

  • can anybody tell me this? i am 13 no and when i was 4-6 im not sure when i used to play ona sega genesis and i remember a street fighter game or similar where you were able to walk down the street, first level out in an alley there is a boss with boxing gloves the next area was a bar type thing with a boss thats a girl with a whip, i'm not really sure what levels/boss/areas are after that, but if anybody knows what im talking about can you help?

  • @Wowcrazy247 Streets of Rage, maybe?

  • @Wowcrazy247 That is Streets Of Rage 2.

  • @dmh79 if you have not noticed i have been told this 4 times now and i have boughten it on xbox live arcade

  • @Wowcrazy247 I noticed a few people saying it was Streets Of Rage that you were after, which isn't strictly true. Just thought it was worth confirming that its actually Streets of Rage 2 that you were describing.

  • That sumo guy (forgot name) if he dies his penis will showup xD

  • @Spuhrkz his name is e.honda

  • i miss my sega :(

  • 0:56 So in addition to being an extraordinary fighter, Ryu is also possesses the universal blood type...

  • 0:45 Strangely enough, I'm in a library right now...

  • não dá pra comecar o video logo não que merda tem que esperar estra frescura toda

  • is it true that the genesis version has smaller sprites than the snes version.because they both look the same at size...please comment back.

  • i have no idea how to do special moves

  • The movie was pretty decent, but I also think the game is better.

  • why do you talk so slowly? are you on medication? are you stoned? your not 100% with it my friend! wake up!

  • man back in 1999 when i had a sega genesis this was the very first game i ever bought for it.....this is the best childhood memory i have

  • Mortal Kombat FTW!!!!!!!!

  • The CPU Guile cheats! He can flash kick without charging!

  • @fatmouth007 Anytime I play against CPU Balrog, he charge-punches across the screen four or five times in a row in the same span of time that it would normally take me to charge one punch. Capcom should have fixed it before release, but I suppose it's just one of the quirks that make the game unique.

  • @Wyldephang It was done intentionally, you have to remember that this is a straight port of the arcade version and the arcade version was made unfairly difficult intentionally to make money.

  • @S0ryiu Good point, and true.

  • @fatmouth007 I know!!! I can pass anyone else besides guile, I jump, he flash kicks, I get close to him, sonic boom. the problem is my favorite character is zangief and he doesnt have any projectile moves.

  • @fatmouth007 yeah the instantaneous flash kicks always suck

  • Out of EVERY Street fighter 2 edition there is, which one is the best? Home or arcade versions included.

  • @ShadowWolf3998

Hyper Street Fighter II: Anniversary Edition, maybe. Basically you can select any arcade version of a character. You want World Warrior Ken vs Super Turbo Ryu? Hyper Fighting Chun Li vs Champion Edition Guile? It even lets you choose multiple iterations of the soundtrack. Get yourself a good arcade stick and you're set to experience the history of Street Fighter II.

  • Bad movie due to bad lead actor.

    Street Fighter : (

    Resident evil : )

  • Personally, I enjoyed that Street Fighter movie. And this guy does sound like Egon, lol!

  • balrog = Mike tyson/Muhammed ali

  • Yeah as the reviewer says, it's a good fighting game for people who don't like fighting games, like me.

  • MortalKombat is the shit

  • A-Bull-Shit!!! A-Bull-Shit!!! A-Are-Are-You'll-Shit!!!

  • this guy sounds like Homer

  • I have been playing this on sega nonstop and it pisses me off its so difficult. When I was young me and my bro played this all the time, im only 17 but sega was all I had for a while

  • The AI in this game was a bitch to master on the hardest level. It's still tougher to beat than street fighter 4 and super street fighter 4

  • sagat always pissed me off with his range move plus he was good and bison was a bitch for keep on doing that electric body slam. still good times gooood times.

  • aaaahhh, this game brings back sweet memory. ^^ my one and only favourite game when i was young

  • The only thing I don't like about this is that the sound effects were ripped off from Eternal Champions.

  • i can't stand your monotone voice at all..

  • i rele miss the old days

  • @dethis7766

Some of us still play the classics =p

  • I love the intros to these videos. It sets the mood just right

  • I don't think its easy to pick up at all. Couldn't win a single round with out mastering it...

  • @DoctorTopper lol! That tends to happen, when you play it for the first time, and max out the difficult. Just keep it on medium setting for the first few times, I didn't think it was that hard at all.

  • @leon102 Street Fighter 2 Turbo: Hyper Fighting doesn't have a medium difficulty, so maybe that is why I couldn't win a single round without mastering it first.

Seriously, who makes a video game where you need to be an expert BEFORE the first stage.

  • @DoctorTopper You mean the arcade version? In the console versions, medium would be four out of eight stars. For the arcade versions they want it to be super hard, so that you keep putting in more coins to play and master the game. But with an emulator it doesn't matter, since you play for free.

  • @leon102 In the version on my Virtual Console there are only stars on Turbo mode, so I thought it only adjusts the speed.

I play regular speed mode where there is no difficulty setting and the 16 bit CPU COUNTERS EVERY MOVE and gets a perfect.

  • @DoctorTopper So, it's on virtual console. Well, they upload console and arcade games now, so is it for genesis snes? I know it's on there, but I downloaded the new challengers one.

  • @leon102 I'm pretty sure that its SNES. There is stars for speed settings on Turbo mode, and there is no Sega version of Hyper Fighting. Only Championship Edition.

  • @DoctorTopper Well, I wasn't real sure if there was a genesis one or not. I knew of Championship edition. Let me check it out.

  • @leon102 Okay, yeah. The difficulty setting is under OPTION. Did you not check that? It's set to medium (4 out of 8 stars) by default though. If you were fighting Ryu or Ken, they are pretty hard re-guardless, of what diff. you set them to. Cause they have such great spam attacks, and counters if you jump over their spamming hodokens.

  • @DoctorTopper

I mention this a lot, but it bears repeating. The Genesis Champion Edition is in fact a port of Hyper Fighting. That's actually why they called it "Special Champion Edition". I suspect Nintendo had Capcom under some contract not to publish Turbo on other systems, so this is the way they worked around that.

  • is it me or does the guy sound like egon from ghostbusters?? LOL

  • @jodafro Yea and Garfield the cartoon..

  • @norm7446 lol!!!

  • @jodafro

    egon....on weed!!

  • @jodafro that or Ben Stein lmao!

  • Like this if you would totally buy Library Fighter

  • buddy ur review voice is sooooo boring and made the review a tedious watch. great game tho, brought back alot of memories! whadokan!

  • The mouth breather narrating this sounds like a foaming retard you'd see at a football game sitting with his mother - "DAI OWN ALL DAI PLAYERS JERSEYS YAYYYYYY"

  • Oh man, I gotta fire up Pit Fighter now!!!

  • STREET BITER!!!!!!

  • let me guess...they took out the shadow throw glitch by guile as shown in my video, as well as dhalsim's disappearing. actually NO arcade conversion of street fighter 2 kept these glitches!

  • ENOUGHT WITH THE FUCKING AD'S

  • @MarioMania05

    adblock plus for firefox.

Download and install it. You will never see an ad on here again.

  • watch street fighter the animated movie its 9000x better than the live action version

  • at 2:50 i was like

CMON CMON CMON GET IM GET IM

  • vega is the best

  • Hadouken!

  • ryu's theme is the best music in all sf games !

  • @TheRealPowerRanger No doubt about that.

  • LMAO I've totally forgotten about the little mini games where you were suppose to break the car or other thing before time ended XD Been sooo long, at least some ten or so years.

  • the snes won the 16bit war cuzz duo streetfichter2,however if the genesis version also was released richt on time in 1991,sure i bet the snes never had win,and sega never ever come to mind to make a misleading 32x .

  • @johneymute snes won the the 16 bit war because of better games.

  • @Galimah

That's just an opinion though. Totally subjective, non-factual.

Both consoles had great games, and were distinctly different. Only 1 console can sell the most consoles.

  • health drains way to fast on the sega versions.

  • i had this exact game back in 1993, i remeber bein so excited to finally have SF2 for a home edition. this game was cool, but the SNES versions of SF2 had better sound and picture quality.

  • Music is better and closer to the arcade in this port.

  • chuggin a bottle of cheap vodka, as if it was good vodka

  • Library fighter would be an awesome game.

  • SNES version is better overall.

  • 6:53 kens music theme best ever

  • @SilverSc0ut Agreed.

  • Super Street Fighter Turbo Alpha 2 Hyper Fighting: Special Champion Edition

  • Ryu only 5'10" 150? He's drawn like he's 6'0" 200 of solid muscle.

  • @EGarrett01 haha yea really... maybe he took the coy female approach, and is just hidin his weight... if Ryu is 150 lbs durin this game, then Dhalsim mustve been only 40 lbs tops, on a good day of eatin....

  • 4:55

    what a great combo!

  • i got in a fight in a library once

  • The Genesis sound chip destroyed the great OST of Street Fighter II -.-

  • @goldraine True 'dat!

  • How do you know it's cheap vodka?

  • Mortal Kombat came after SF:the movie...

  • my friends keep telling me i should get into fighters. but i dunno, i like beat em ups personaly. brawling with everyone on the streets. iv played a few fighters and had a little fun, but they arent my thing really. except ballz, that was quite amusing

but yeah, beat em ups are more my thing. i keep looking at videos of fighting games just to see what there like, but still. for now at least im sticking to beat em ups

  • dude amen to that part about the better the game the worse the movie my favorite street fighter at the moment is street fighter alpha 3 max for psp its just so much street fighter such a little console i dont like sf4

  • I/m sorry Mark, but this is one of the worse ports of the game. Unfortunately the sega just didnt have the capability to do this game justice. Does the game work sure, however it is lacking the full deepth of colors and the sound is just terrible.

  • @Bruiz54

To be fair, none of the 16-bit ports had the same level of colors, resolution, sound FX, or music compared to the arcade. Which, according to your view, renders them incapable of doing the game justice.

  • @Bruiz54 but if he likes it, he likes it.

  • @Bruiz54 Like dunnon said. Except with the 6 button controller, the Genesis port's gameplay far exceeded that of the SNES's. And gameplay, ultimately, is the most important factor to a game (although the music in the genesis version was really good IMO). All in all, this was a pretty good translation although the later port of SF2: The New Challengers was even better.

  • @lancerCNCS1 I played all three of the games and yes I did like that initially you could play more characters on the Genisis port but I think gamely on both titles was good however i really hated the bad voices and sounds. I just think the she's was closer to the arcade and correct me if I'm wrong didn't the snes one come out before the saga one.

  • SF2 is WAYYY better on SNES

  • How about using those video editing skills of yours and making a new streetfighter film out of enter the dragon?

  • mark can you do a review of super street fighter 2 the new challengers for sega or snes?

  • Special Champion Edition = best version ever!!!

Make sure to play it on "Hyper" mode though, and choose "4 or 5 stars" as the game speed I'd recommend! :-)

"Hyper" mode is basically the equivalent of "Turbo" mode for the SNES, where you have extra moves for the fighters, for example, both Ryu and Ken can do the spinning kick move whilst in mid-air in both directions! :-D

  • i have two copies one is just a plain cartridge the other is a box with all manuals and everything else

  • Indeed, the possibilities are endless.

This is why the mario bros movie was bad, it makes perfect sense.

    But wait, no!

I will disprove your theory mark, Bloodrayne was a bad game, with a bad movie!

  • street fighter is capcom not neo geo

  • pit fighter will be the greatest film ever made, *just classic rad* !!! hhahahah ;o0, love street fighter series!!!

  • ryu is 46 years old, damn thats old, he doesnt look old in super street fighter 4

  • the sound is awful.

  • @scir91 what do you expect, the game came out in the early 90s

  • Haduken!

  • "Speed of light" LOL!

  • U FORGOT ZERO!!!! TOO MANY MODS! Makes yu think am I playing a fighting game or an algebraic equation??? i.e. Street Fighter Alpha 2 Hyper Mega Turbo Zero??? WHAT A SHIT MOVIE IT WAS TO BECOME A MOVIE FROM A GAME TO A MOVIE TO A GAME AHHHH JEEZZZ!!!!! :(

  • Mortal Kombat will for ever own street fighter.... better characters - better sound track - better moves - finishing moves - hell of a better story

  • @Reezonoticz lol, gameplay is the most important part, which mk lacks.

  • @Reezonoticz funny troll

  • HAHA!!! Sweet Vid' Commentary!!!

  • Am I wrong in sayin that the JCVD Film is not an adaptation of Street Fighter 2? But there is an animated film callled Street Fighter 2 the animated movie which is quality and is a direct follow on from the first game

  • the one on snes has beter music !

  • @qwwertyyuful HELL YEA

  • I like MK more than SF because it's a bit easier and 100000000000X grittier. Plus I like the characters more.

  • @rejectofsoul24 shut up fag go play mario

  • love the PIT FIGHTER comment at 7:00 now that i think about it, i would like to see a PIT FIGHTER movie MOVIE of the damn thing XD. and i acctually like the GENESIS version of that game. because the INTROs have AWESOME training music lol

  • great video dude ..... the MegaDrive version is actually my favourite version of Street Fighter II .... it's also the only home console version (discounting home computers like Amiga/ST/PC) to have the proper intro with the two guys at the bottom of the building ..... this really does make it feel more like the arcade, along with the excellent game play (especially if you use a 6-button pad)

Street Fighter II will always be a million times better than Mortal Kombat!

  • No way a stree fighter 1 I thought is started at 2

  • Does ANYONE know that there is a Street Fighter 1?

  • his better movie to bad game means that action 52 to would be such a good movie that any human that watched it their head would explode with delight

  • I can't even begin to tell you how much money i wasted on street fighter just to die in the 2nd level when i was a kid.

  • The main audio processor used for the Genesis is the Motorola 68000. The voices are defined by FM parameters. Both the CPS1 and Genesis hardware are both based on FM synthesis, so the music that was ported to the Genesis was nearly arcade quality. The Genesis has less sound channels than the CPS1, so some effects had been left out. Through some clever programing, Capcom split the one audio channel used for sample based audio in two, though the voices became lower in quality because of that.

  • @angryellow313

I'm sorry dude, but YOU suck. Who gives a shit if he's button mashing? Its a GAME REVIEW. Not a HAY LOOK AT MY SF2 SKILLZ video.

  • @SpaceLlama69 A lot of people don't want to feel that CGR, the baddest dudes around, plays games casually.

  • @angryellow313 you sound so dumb. shut up

  • @angryellow313

And you, my friend, is what is commonly known as a complete douche.

  • @TheThrashAnvil And you, my friend, are what's commonly known as a faggot loser with enough time on their hands to actually dig through, find, and reply to a comment I made 3 months ago.

  • @angryellow313

Actually, people who do that aren't commonly known as "faggots", in fact I don't think any group of people should be commonly known as "faggots" and it's a rather pathetic insult.

Time on my hands? I was watching Mark's review and I noticed a lot of people had responded to some comment by you, so I wanted to see what the fuss was about. Your comment was so prizewillingly laughable I just had to respond.

  • @TheThrashAnvil I'm sorry, I can't understand you. My dick's lodged too far down your throat.

  • @angryellow313

Ah, the last escape of somebody who just realized his opponent is more clever than himself.

You are... A clown. Yes, that's the best word, clown. But you're a profoundly unfunny clown that has to fake his enthusiasm when dousing kids with spray can water on stage. Sort of like Krusty from the simpsons!

Now, I await another weak ad hominem for a reply. You see, people like you are too predictable. It's no fun anymore.

  • hey man why dont you two just stop im not hating on you and angryellow but its abit pathetic you two argueing over one comment and doing it on the internet where some people dont even know who each other are so if your old enough to understand this just stop

  • @angryellow313

In fact, I don't think it shows a flaw in my character at all, but the original comment shows a bit of a flaw in yours, not that i'd like to judge too quickly being that we are on the internet.

  • ''And here we're fighting Guile infront of an F-16, what could possibly be more American?''

Fighting Mike infront of Mt. Rushmore in Street Fighter 1 of course!

    xD

  • Street Fighter Rules!

  • I agree, the film was a fail, ken looked like a retired old man with a bad back. And Deejay and Zangief somehow work for bison? Fail movie (=

  • And get this, Ken was TALLER than Sagat, what's that shit about?

    Vin Diesel should've played him.

Raul Julia did an awesome job with Bison though.

  • man i've just played hyper street fighter 2 on my ps2, and now seeing this, i was thinking "maaan this sound drives me fuckin crazy"

  • why are there london Taxi's in Balrog's stage?

  • Yeah, like Super Mario.

  • Anybody use a Power Plug on this game? I did and E. Honda's arm was frozen, yet still did damage. And Chun Li stopped moving her leg, but still damage. What's faster than Turbo? Hyper? No, frozen stiff.

  • Could do with a more enthusiastic and interesting voice.

  • street fighter 2

    street fighter 2 champion ship

    street fighter 2 turbo

    super street fighter 2

    super street fighter 2 turbo

  • Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo Revival

    Hyper Street Fighter 2

Super Street Fighter II HD Remix

  • when it comes to street fighter, genesis wins for its controller.

  • @idjoemama totally disagree, i think the snes controller is waaaay better, as is the sound quality on snes version of street fighter, they sound like they're underwater on the genesis, tpliger! lol

  • In the 4th gen yes, but the Saturn version of SSF2 Turbo rendered every other console port pointless imo.

But guess what, If you were European (like me), you were screwed and stuck with the PS1 version. Solid D-pad and all, but damn, the shoulder buttons are balls for whipping out the heavy attacks.

  • For some dumb reason I owned both Special Championship Edition for Megadrive (Genesis) and Turbo for SNES. I remember A/Bing each version and the SNES version had better sound quality and *slightly* better graphics.

  • Sega version looks a lot smoother. My snes SF2 turbo suffers huge lag when fighting Ryu or Ken...

  • @OldVikingSchool

They never released Turbo on Gensis, so, laggy snes is all you can play Turbo on.

  • I think it's safe to assume Special Champion Edition is basically the Genesis' version of Turbo. It does have the variable speed settings, up to 10 or 11 stars.

  • @dunnono00

Is that a joke? Turbo has supers and more characters and better graphics they're completely different games.

  • What you're describing is Super Street Fighter II: Turbo, which was never released on Genesis or SNES.

  • Have you even played this version it DOES have Turbo mode on with the Turbo moves like Chun Li's fireball.

Hence the SPECIAL Champion Edition, just like the Snes version has Champion mode as well as Turbo.

And btw the music is better on the Mega Drive it was just that its mono and the voices are grainy, the snes is more evened out.

  • Street Fighter 2 The Word Warrior.. was my first beat em up. In my young jears, i hate this game.. i ever loose.. now i beat it easy. :) (( on the snes)) I prefer the "the new challenger" version on the snes and i like the movie.. but only of an .. ...call it Parody way. ^^ Its funny to see and the end was great, as everybody makes his gamepose. ^^

    greetings Fenrill
