If a guy KNEW he was going to get somewhere with a girl, he'd be more than happy to pay. Does she smile and say "Hi" back ? You might want to make small talk with her first. Try to find an opportunity to have a brief conversation with her. For example, you can compliment her on her on a piece of jewelry and ask her where she got it. Then you can ask her a question about her.

The rule you mentioned< "Whoever asks pays" does not work very well. It puts men at a huge disadvantage because women simply do not ask men out as much. There are women who go by that rule but never ask guys out which is convenient. Some women feel the guy should pay on the first date. Again if you look at how many first dates a guy has this put's men at a huge disadvantage again. A guy may go out on 20 to 30 dates befor hooking up with Mrs. right.

@tronmart1 It's not fair for expectations to be one-sided. So girls should always EXPECT that guys will pay for dinner and buy them nice things, but guys should NEVER expect anything in return? I don't buy it. If a guy invests his hard-earned cash into a girl and a relationship, he should get something out of it. It would be like putting your money in a savings account and never getting anything back. It doesn't work like that.

I do not think it is fair for men or women to Expect anyone to pay their bill. I think when someone buys you dinner or when you buy them dinner it is because they WANT to not because the SHOULD. Women have fought for more options in their life for years so I do not think it is fair to limit men's options. Like i have always said. The honor is just getting asked out. The rule you mentioned< "Whoever asks pays" does not work very well. It puts men at a huge disadvantage because women simply do not ask men out as much. There are women who go by that rule but never ask guys out which is convenient. Some women feel the guy should pay on the first date. Again if you look at how many first dates a guy has this put's men at a huge disadvantage again. A guy may go out on 20 to 30 dates befor hooking up with Mrs. right.

part 6-One advantage of paying together is you can pool your money. In other wordslet's say you and this guy want to go to a concert and it is 50 dollars a piece. Suppose he has 60 and you have 40. With just his money you can't go but if you pool your resources (money) you have 100 dollars and now you both can go.

And women can enjoy themselves without the fear of obligation and dept they ow the man. If she dumps him after the date it is not a big deal to the man when they go dutch. ok so one time i took a girl on a little date. i'm in college so i aint got that much money, so we just went to this restaurant in the city. she orders chicken tenders, fries, 2 sides, and a drink. the waiter says "thats actually a number 8. If you just order the number 8 you would get the same stuff, but it'd be $13 cheaper than ordering everything separate"...She says "oh no it's fine." just her meal costed $24 when it coulda been $11...did i mention i only had $30?....women amaze me sometimes

If you WANT to pick up the check then that is fine. The key word here is WANT. Men should have options too. But to make a rule and say men (all men) SHOULD pay is saying something completely different. Women do not always want to be traditional so do we make them behave that way?
