To clear things up - the song was written for "Rounders" and unlike "Colorblind" which was written for "Cruel Intentions" was not included on the Counting Crows album "This Desert Life" (1999). In fact back in the day apparently many Crows fans snuck tape recorders into theaters to record this song as the credits rolled which resulted in the low fidelity version.

Crows eventually released the song as a b-side to "Hangin' Around" which is where the HQ version is sourced from.

It's not true that this is the only place to find this song. I found this track in two places on the Internet two years ago. One wasn't a very a good mp3 and then my son found a superior sounding track that I copied to a CD. Some people posted that at the time no one could get a download, but that was only because they didn't know how or where to look.
