@AdrianDotis You know nothing about how the bombing runs work. Units on the ground call in airstrikes on designated targets, the place is surveyed to find the best spot (least amount of civvies) and the bombs go in. Mainly they target confirmed Al Qaeda or Taliban compounds.

@AdrianDotis I wouldn't say we're losing according to the kill count. Afganistan- US military killed: less than 1,500. Taliban killed: 23k-30k. But they keep coming from other countries so it's a never-ending war until afganistan has their own stable government and military.

@leeshowlips Carpet bomb is used mainly to kill advancing infantry. The reason its called a Carpet Bomb is because it actualy makes a small carpet of explosives. The bomb breaks apart in mid air releasing multiple small explosives which pummels the ground pretty much killing any thing. 2:35 on this video shows a perfect example of when the bomb releases the small explosives. 2:00 is a perfect example when the bombs hit the ground creating a carpet.
