  • Once again Alan, a great video. Informative as usual and you really get a feel for being there in the present and in the past. I have watched probably all your videos on the holocaust sites, and will start watching them again!! I have been to Auschwitz and Plazow (not a death camp I know) but haven't yet had the time to visit the rest, so thank you for your videos once again!!

  • @jonomutiny Thanks for the comment. I made a video at Plaszów in 2009 but I did not post it as I was not happy with it. I will continue to post things as I can!

  • According to jewishvirtuallibrary, some of the Jews selected to be Sonderkommando "greeted the new arrivals, telling them that they were going to shower . . . They were obliged to lie, telling the soon-to-be-murdered prisoners that after the delousing process they would be assigned to labor teams and reunited with their families."

They lied to the people who were about to murdered so they wouldn't resist. jewishvirtuallibrary says the Jews did this to save themselves and for "extra" money.

  • Are you sure that that is what the Jewish Virtual Library says? And if so what is the source?

No prisoners got money. I doubt very much that the library says anything of the sort.

  • All one has to do is copy/paste the quote into a search engine to find the article, or enter:

    sonderkommando + jewishvirtuallibrary.

You wrote; No prisoners got money.

Yes they did. It was called Lagergeld. Himmler also ordered brothels be operated in ten of the camps to give the prisoners productivity incentive.

Please check on these before further insinuated insults.

Awfully gruesome that Jews were used to extract gold teeth from the corpses of other Jews.

  • I have copied and pasted this into the search engine referred it to Chelmno and there is no such claim. Therefore I assume you made it up.

Brothels were operated in some camps but were expressly forbidden to Jewish prisoners. There was no brothel in Chelmno.

There was also no Lagergeld in Chelmno although it did exist in some concentration camps.

As for the gold teeth, they were forced to do so. One wonders how brave you would be in similar circumstances.

  • Excuse me sir, but I don't make things up.

    You are very insulting.

Please enter this quote written by Jacqueline Shields at jewishvirtuallibrary:

"At Auschwitz, Treblinka, Birkenau, Belzec, Chelmno and Sobibor the Nazis established the Sonderkommando, groups of Jewish male prisoners picked for their youth and relative good health whose job was to dispose of corpses"

Shields continues: "some acted out of mere greed for extra food and money"

    Is this offensive to you?

  • So it was not you who made it up by Jacqueline. She is wrong. At the Bug camps + Treblinka people were not asked if they wanted to join the Sonderkommando or not. They were chosen at arrival. As for the money, it is absurd. Thee was no money in those camps. The lady has not got a clue what she is writing about.

  • I believe you're in denial.

  • I have done a great deal of original research on this subject. Have you?

  • No. I don't know anything.

You would have ripped gold teeth out of the gums of corpses for the Nazis just so they would let you 'live' one more day in their concentration camp?

  • I fail to see how you would know what I would do considering you do not know me.

I am a coward and certainly would have done what the Nazis told me. On the other hand I am not so much of a coward as you are because I don't need to hide behind a false name so it is pretty clear what you would be doing in such circumstances isn't it?

  • March 1, 1945, the final weeks of the war, Bergen-Belsen commander Josef Kramer wrote his superior, the head administrator of concentration camps, pleading for immediate aid to quell outbreaks of typhus and spotted fever spread by lice killing prisoners at "a daily average of 250-300"

Kramer: "Due to constant use the hot-air delousing machine is now in bad working order and sometimes fails for several days."

and, "a catastrophe is taking place"

He did not run from the British in the end.

  • What has this got to do with Chelmno nad Ner?

  • @alanheath

Please, don't try to argue with negationnists. They ask for proofs but they just negate without any serious argument.

    Keep the good work on!

    jim calander

  • I admit it is a bit of a waste of time. If someone claims it is day when it is the middle of the night then frankly there is not much of an argument that can be used.

  • Fascinating, I thought i was well informed, but your research is very interesting. I did not appreciate that there was a fixed camp at Chemno.

  • I have a lot more material on this camp on this channel if you are interested.

  • Your films are historical documents.

  • Thank you very much - I appreciate a great deal such comments!
