my friend,you have well told about the feelings of a transgender,but there is an incident happened to me 15 days back,i respect every one not with gender but with their heart,a mtf from malaysia whom i respect well,abuses me,please remember 1 thing friend,though they are transexuals and even though they get respect from the society,they dont forget their instincts,am not saying about everyone but they too exist,sorry if i hurt some one

my friend came out to me today as a mtf trans. i told her automatically, that's cool . . . i'm friends with you, not your gender or sexuality. i accept whoever you are. it's going to take getting used to on my part, but that's nothing compared to what she's going through.

When I came out to my best friend, it was over the phone. I had to get pretty drunk to get the courage. When i told him, he was sort of taken aback, but he said he wasn't THAT surprised about it. His immediate reaction was to make jokes, which hurt, but I understood that it was just his way of processing it. We never really talked much about it after that, until one day 2 years later, when he apologized about haven joked about it. Thank you for saying this for the world. And you are beautiful!

Very true. As a MtF it's hard enough to be called "sir, mister" etc by people who don't know. It hurts alot to be called that stuff by people who do!
