  • I woke up from my hip surgery to a foot 11/4th inch short from where it used to be? Same problem . . no other doc will fix it. have to go back to same under aged butcher

  • Which ones are the new implants? Metal on Metal? or something else?

  • Metal ball and plastic liner cup.

  • My problem continued to worsen with the squeaking and popping getting louder and worse pain. I eventually elected to have them removed (by the same suregon - because no other surgeon will dare to try and correct someone else's mistake). Even though this was a Stryker problem I needed to go back to the same surgeon. The explants were extremely damaged whcih did not show on xrays. I am very happy with the new parts, no NOISE, no pain. I hope that congress gets this law passed

  • If you or a loved one were seriously injured as a result of a defective Stryker Hip Implant, you may have valuable legal rights.

  • What about the Federal Court decision that exempts FDA approved devices from torts? I hope this decision is over-turned or I understand that there is a bill to reverse this so that when negligent they are not exempt.

  • HI, I have 2 Stryker hip replacements with the ceramic heads. I have this problem on my left side but only when I bent deeply. Did your problem start gradually? If so how long after your surgery did this begin? Thanks

  • The squeaking started within months after surgery but progressed with intensity and then began to grind and pop like in video.

  • I worry that this will happen to me some time. I had my left hip replaced in June of 05 now I just had my right one replaced 3 weeks ago but i had the new procedure it went great. The recovery is so much faster then the old way. I hope every thing go's good for you. Plus I'm only 32 with two new hips I am going to have to live with these for a long time.

  • Please tell me more about the "new procedure". I'm facing surgery but haven't discussed all of the details with my doctor yet. Also, if you have time, please elaborate on the recovery from both. I've read that recovery takes months but what does that mean? How long before I can do normal everyday things - walking, driving, socializing????

  • I thought I was the only one that popped! Obviously, you have the same problem too. Check out my videos. Curious what your doctors or Strkyer said.

  • Yep, looks like we were both in the NY Times Article. I have been given two opinions both saying that I should get the revision surgery, which I dread.

  • Hi, My grandmother read an article to me regarding your hip replacement surgery. My grandmother is now 73 years old and she had a stryker ceramic hip replacement in August 2005. She now experiences a painful popping sound. I am just curious to what actions you have taken regarding your hip replacement malfunction and perhaps the information will be beneficial to my grandmother. I believe she saw your article in the NY Times...Thanks

  • Calling all lawyers...this is a BIG lawsuit....obviously you need another hip replacement and how could you possibly work? This is truly horrific!

  • I read something about this in the paper.. and wow, that is a loud squeak!!
