I saw the musicale at my local theatre. I loved this fantastic music, sadly the same cannot be said for the acting. Nor the visual effects (I think they used power point, and it crashed lol) But it was a good evening out all the same. I am now reading the book! :)

the nearest version i have seen is part of ray harryhausen's war of the worlds, he made the part where the lid unscrews and the tripod reveals itself but that was all he did due to lack of funding or something like that

The remake the Tom (Up myself cos i was born with silver spoon in my mouth) Cruise was in want really much better but it got close. I watched this at the Brisbane Entertainment Center. when Justin Came up to sing Forever Autumn his microphone wasnt working.... He would have been spittin chips.
