@TheAlistorPrice It's a fairly simple build out of pvc. You can go to halloweenforum . com and search for the thread entitled "I've started my stalkabout" for more pictures and video.
I don't have plans, I just built it as I went along. All you need is a hiking backpack with a frame, some pvc, and a camera tripod. The pvc fit perfectly on the backpack frame and I just built off of it cutting the pvc as I went to the size I thought would work & look best.
Is there a video of how to build this?

Is the metal strip that connects the helmet to the head platform hinged?
gogglecrab 3 months ago
@gogglecrab Yes, there is a hinge at both ends of it.

@matthewthemanparker now what kind of hinges do you use for it?
gogglecrab 3 months ago
@gogglecrab Just some standard triangular hinges I picked up at Lowes. They are about 2" in length.

@matthewthemanparker Thanks for the help, all I needed for my stalkabout was the head movement, now I can finish it!

@gogglecrab No problem. My only word of advise is to make the head as light as possible. It makes a difference over a long night.

Thanks! I guessed it was a tripod, but I wanted to make sure. Genius! Thanks again!

Hi. The armature is awesome! Could you please tell me what you used for the hinge at the head joint, and the diameter of the pvc used? Thanks!
chorusjunky26 2 years ago
Sure, the joint is an old camera tripod I cut up and I think it was 3/4 pvc.
