It's a limiter put on by the company itself. They don't allow you to go over a certain speed. It's like some sorta legal thing but you can get it removed and go all out ;)

The legal things is called a governor. The Lexuses have a governor where you cannot go more than 130 MPH.

Kind of funny I did have it all the way to the floor in some of my other videos in that car. This is just a teaser for my other videos. I tried to get it to go faster than 149 and it would not go any faster and I had the pedal floored a lot longer than 30 seconds more like over a minute or more. I think the rental company has it held back because it felt like it would do more.

I have been told that the G37 can go as high as 155 MPH but the one I was driving would not make it there and I was REALLY trying! When my video store opens you will see how fast I really went. ;-)

@drivergirls2010 Nice, I have the coupe :). The car can actually do about 180 but it's limited by a chip in order to meet safety regulations.

Thanks for the comments, I don't have any plans to have the brakes fail but in my full videos I do brake hard from high speeds because of traffic getting in my way. I have a barefoot video that will be coming soon and I will have it on my new store that will open soon...I hope!
