  • I love you videos!!!:)

  • Thank you for the video...I can't get scotch bonnet peppers where I am (japan) so I use dried habanero powder....you mentioned 4 or 5 habanero peppers in your recipe...isn't that a little TOO spicy?

  • Hey everyone.

I cooked this recipe for my family.

Though it wasnt the spiciest Jerk Ive had, My family said it was the best they've had.

    Great Recipe! Try It!

  • For getting it a little extra spicy, add a few more Habenero peppers or some course-ground chilli peppers.

Also, a tomato would give a nicer touch to the marinade. Cheers.

  • Thanks Scott. Very well presented and easy to follow, I'm gonna give this a try tomorrow.

  • nice

  • Awesome video! I've always wanted to try to make jerk chicken and your recipe looks great and somewhat easy to make. Thanks!

  • Hey you can also sprinkle some of that Jamaican Red Stripe Beer on the chicken while it's cooking on the grill that makes it even much better. They do that a lot here on the island.

  • I'm here in Jamaica and yours is the closest jerk recipe I've seen online, Looks good and I'm sure it tastes real authentic

  • Good Old Red Stripe!! :)

  • mmmmm cant wait to try it im going out to get the ingredients as soon as i post this text thanks for the recipe

  • You should have your own tv show like Emeril or Rachel Ray. I would love to watch it!

  • this is a fantastic recipe that works really well and it is extremely easy.

  • yummy, yummy!

  • Yummy!

  • this looks wonderful, would this recipe work for pork also?

  • Yes it would, I actually prefer jerked pork

  • I never had Jamaican Jerk chicken before nor made it. Can there be slight deviations to the recipe and still be authentic? I am really wanting to make this.

  • I've never cooked it before with the chicken intact. I may try that this weekend. I also don't chop it up with a cleaver only because I dont want my kids to choke on a broken bone fragment.

  • Jerk chicken is so damn spicy. My fingers were on fire from eating wings :/

  • I tried your jerk chicken and it was fabulous. Thank you very much.

  • What a Jerk Chicken. I made this today and I love it. We own a Butcher Shop in Maple, Ontario Canada, I substituted the chicken for chicken legs, and it was great. Thanks Again.

  • I love jerk, from my local joint. This is so easy and deelish looking, I can't wait to try it!! Thanks for posting! Oh, if we like it less spicy can you use less peppers, or wil that take away from the taste?

  • This is what I ate while there

  • Great recipe! Thx!

  • that was super

  • thanks for the tips man?

  • gave you an extra star to make 5/5 b/c you had the red stripe beer

  • Love it, very clear and enjoyable to watch. I agree with `denettra' and would add Olive Oil and I would add a bit of lime or lemon too.

  • interesting. I always buy the sauce. One day I may try to make it from scratch.

  • The darkness of the marinade sauce and the chicken, that comes from the green onion?

  • I love that chicken. If I oven bake it instead of grill it, would I get similar result?

    Thanks

  • Yes!! That would be great.

  • welp im about to slap it on the grill now, cant wait to try it

  • ccool looks yumm

  • Definitly will try!..You are VERY good in ur video presentations..you are precise and very punctual..easy to follow!!!not to many people on here doing cooking presentations are this well presented!..I have always use store bought jerk..by the way isnt bad at all..but I love the idea of having it made fresh.the only thing I would add is probably a lil olive oil to loosen the marinade up a bit, vinegar, cinnamon, nutmeg and a lil cane sugar..but that's it...THANKS for all ur well put videos!!!!

  • Thanks nice recipe, One question. Do we need to skin the chicken??

  • Nope.. leave the skin on.

  • woo hoo! i hate skinless chicken...

  • cheers for the vid man needed that.

  • i always wondered how to make jerk chicken!!! so after watching your video, you just answer alll of my question!! NO MORE JERK SAUCE IN THE BOTTLES!!!!:))

  • You should try to marinate it overnight.

  • looks good

  • as a jamaican who make jerk chicken alot, i most say good job,i notice you have a red stripe you can also punch a hole in the top and sprinkle iton the chicken while on the grill.

  • Excellent tip!

  • Thx Scott.

Had Store bought Jerk Chicken today... I will try your version soon, looks good!

  • can u make pineapple upside down cake please>

  • mouth watering good man!!! i will try to blend seasoning instead of buying jerk sauce.

  • Scott that looks so good! I will try that!

  • nicee...

  • thanks scooter...i'm gonna give it a try !

  • You are awesome Scott, thanks for making this. One thing I did was use orange juice instead of water. The next step is use pimento wood chips in my charcoal BBQ.

    5/5 Stars

    -Don

  • Yes, orange juice would be great. Use whatever ingredients inspire you. Recipes are just a starting point for your own creativity. Let your imagination go wild and you will be suprised at what you can come up with.

Thanks for watching and good luck!
