A bowline knot is very nice to use if you need to tow another car. I have used it and tow vehicle of 3.7 tonnes and the knot will never tighten up so much that the rope must be cut.
the first time you tie the constrictor knot, you are actually doing a miller's knot....it's different from what the second constrictor you are doing...
thankx :D now the huts i build shoudnt fall over any more these knots are much stronger than the other ones i used this vid saved me a lot of rebuilding dismantling time :D and not my brother and sister cant get out of the cahir xD
I basically just rolled up (twisted) 2 napkins and used the"reverse wrap" method to cord them. I was just learning at the time and it gave me great practice in the technique. See our Cattail Cordage video for details :) Hope that Helps..
Great vid, I have been practicing the one hander since I first saw it, I just came back so I could get a refresher course to make sure I got it down pat and to review the clove hitch and constrictor knot. I have found many uses for all the knots that you have shown us. 5/5 Great vid, keep em comin
great vid, thanks for the knowledge. Just to give you an update regarding the rock on Oahu. I have been digging and stomping around in the mountains and have found no obcidian. My reaserch has shown no ancient Hawaiian use of the stone. I think it simply does not exist here.
Great video, the one handed knot is very useful to know. I had not thought of being able to tie it with one hand. It seems like a very useful skill to know, and may safe a life. Thank you for the useful and great videos.
