  • Did some douche criticize his depth? Are you kidding me? That was way the fuck deep enough and whoever said it wasn't is either blind or retarded or both

  • al is a badass.

  • Simply amazing!

  • Adam Ant everybody, lets give it up.

  • What the hell is the guy behind him to the right doing? Using his Jedi powers to help?

  • @mrceebees14 There speaks the Youtube judge....he's there to spot the guy. If he starts veering to the sides, starts back down again or goes backwards, that guy is there to notice it FIRST and then get the spotters to rack the weight. If he's not there and this guy starts going sideways, you've got 900lb heading AT SPEED towards the side spotters and a big accident.

Back to the vid - this is just ridiculous. Five times bodyweight? Amazing work.

  • @pisswizzard No way in hell if he goes forward, left or right are they going to be able to take the weight from him.

There is a point where you are alone, and that is this.

  • @mrceebees14 There are five spotters. Each has to grab the equivalent of around 200lb and the guy behind grabs the lifter. Simples. If there was no point, why does every single powerlifting meet use this setup and successfully rack failed attempts without issue?

  • That's 5.3 times his bodyweight.

  • It's impossible to judge depth from front with the new gear. I was a national referee btw and I watched a video from the front of a squat that I watched at hip level from the side. He was deep from the side, and looked four inches high from the side.

  • that honestly should not even be possible i really dont understand how a 165lb man can squat almost 900 pounds this is truly mind blowing if you think about what this guy just did.

  • the hip has to be parallel with the TOP of the knee, good lift

  • @buffvalley09 where are you from the hip has to break parallel and its been that for over 50 years.

  • 38 seconds appears in this angle to be the lowest he dropped. In my opinnion, still a little to high. Look closely. Eitherway, incredible strength!

  • that looked good to me

  • what happens if he doesnt make it? since there's no safety racks...im guessing the spotters generate enough force to help get the weight up...can someboy responed please without being a smartass lol

  • Finally a powerlifter who hits parallel! Nice work!!!

  • @pantherpowerlifter22 the hip is supposed to break the plane of the knee. He is dwindling right on the edge. Some judges would count it, some might not. And don't tell people to stop talking shit and post videos when the one video you have is of a horrible squat.

  • who cares u idiots this is more wehight u could ever think of if u dont think it was parellel then show me a video of u showing how deep youre supposed to go

  • @pantherpowerlifter22 What are you retarted just because it more than i can do .Give him a high squat just because he tryed.

  • It's fair comment. It's impressive for what it is, but does his hip break his knee? At 37 secs, no it doesn't, look at his right leg at this point. It wouldn't get through in an IPF comp...And the amount of layered lifting gear being used (beyond single ply) in general is ridiculous...Not looking at something honestly is stupid...

  • Amazing half squat, with no control at lockout, and probably quadrupple ply briefs and a canvas suit...I agree 100% with amarone1956

  • @JimHu114231 I just dont understnad the stupidity of you people, I never will either....

  • shit

    this isn't a full squattttttt

  • WOW i would love to see his face if i kicked him in the balls while he was pushing up on the squat.

  • Al Caslow (181) registered a 2,080 pound total on Saturday at the IPA North Carolina Power Challenge in Hickory, North Carolina. The total ranks Caslow seventh all-time and second on the Powerlifting Watch Lifter Rankings. Caslow's total included an 875 pound squat, 550 pound bench press and 655 pound deadlift. Caslow missed two attempts with a 680 pound deadlift.

  • I was there. Competed, and it was at my home gym. Really cool to have Caslow come lift, and Frankl was there to handle him. Not to mention Gene Rychlak and Steve Maxon put on a hell of a meet that day!

  • I want to see him do this using squat stands and with IPF judges. Then I'll believe in his ability.

  • Unreal! but if they gave that to you for a record there was not complete control at lock out.

  • Do a quick search for squat precision

where detecting perfect, legal squat depth for ANY federation has become an exact science.

  • wow great effort man

  • WOW 75 KG ATHLETE, was the previous record 395, and thats 397.5 ?
