On the plus side, this game has the most brilliant voice work of any FF game period, the battle system is different but works well. the world itself is a seemless, adventure with music that mached perfectly. I understand why they made the choices they made in light of final fantasy X to make a mild world that is a kind of blanketing effect versus Xs intense emotion driven plot. i just dont understand why they made the main villain and protaganist the least memorable and left so much unexplained

I am somehow happy they didn't forget the story of the world and political conflict to show emotion-driven character development. That's how Ivalice games should go, no? I wonder if we will ever have a mute for protagonist in a FF game like Chrono of CT.

this game is so good but they prolly lost fans by 1. making vaan the main protagonist and vayne the villain when they could have used ballthier or basch and gabranth or cid. 2.they dont flesh out alot of things about the characters especially the gods.3.the summons lacked real power until the later ones. 4.they tried to mix a ridicuously intricate story that required alot of attention with an enormous world outside the main story to explore so one forgets the main plot alot.
